Anyone worked for someone famous?

I’m working in a company for an influencer/z list celeb. She’s well known in a certain group of people and hangs around with some pretty famous faces. She has her own fashion company.

I don’t report into her, but work closely with her and she is an utter bitch. The way she comes across on social media is so…different. Her intern films her for content daily and she puts on such a smiley show. When the camera is off, she’s rude, demanding, bitches about everyone in the team, including members of the team that go above and beyond to make her business a success and make her happy…I could go on.

she contradicts herself constantly, making me feel like I’m going mad. I know if I died tmrw she wouldn’t care. She cares only about herself and her success. She’s not even nice about her husband, who is such a lovely guy.

I want to get out this company asap. It’s just difficult to know where to go and what to do next so in the meantime…has anyone else experienced similar?

I have lost all respect for this woman. She is awful and everyone that works for her knows it.

I don't think Martin Sheen has spoken out about Gaimain either?

I'm inclined to assume they've both been forbidden from doing so by the execs of Good Omens...there was a later-than-expected and carefully worded statement released about the ongoing production which would seem to support this.

I know if a senior exec at my place of work made public headlines for such abhorrent behaviour we'd all be instructed not to say anything

I think you mean Michael Sheen, not Martin!

Speaking of Michael Sheen, my daughter worked on a production of his, very lowly staff, and he was very lovely to everyone.

I agree with watching Get Back. It really highlights that McCartney was the talent and the workhorse behind The Beatles, when John and the boys were busy dicking about, being late etc.

And how good does he look with that beard....?

I'm not that surprised at all. It's one thing to be very comfortably off; but with multi-billionaires, who see so many people in crushing poverty in the world and could make such a transformational difference to millions of lives - whilst still keeping far more money for themselves than they could ever possibly use - but don't... I can't begin to understand that mindset.

Being brought up in that kind of environment from a young age, it must be phenomenally difficult to ever adjust to being somebody who has any compassion for, and actually gives a stuff about, ordinary people - rather than just seeing their whole purpose as being there to facilitate your life.

I agree.
Being kind and compassionate are traits I do hope my children live their lives by.

I wouldn't be at all surprised 😁🤣

Who were the 2 nice Royals and the 1 nasty one @Sunpeace?
Glad to hear you found Vanessa Feltz nice.
I messaged her once on social media re an item of clothing she had worn and she replied promptly. I thought that was kind.

BunnyLake · 27/04/2025 13:25

I’m going to guess the not so nice one was Maggie. Only based on the fact that she was very grandiose, which typically lends itself to not being so nice to those who ‘don’t matter’. I have heard she was great fun at parties though.

Could be wrong of course.

Regarding royals.

Other way round - MS has known Gaiman a long time, DT only met him when he was cast in Good Omens.

That's right.

Michael Sheen was a huge fan of Gaiman for years and first met him in person in 2010, long before he was cast in Good Omens.

That's how I feel too.

Tennant was getting all the flak because of his appalling remarks about Kemi Badenoch. At least Sheen hasn't made any statements like that, as far as I know.

But where Gaiman is concerned Sheen should have spoken out.

Sophie Wessex was lovely. Princess Anne could be abrupt but actually OK once you got past that. Princess Michael was unpleasant. I didn't have any dealings with the others but people I knew who worked with both Charles and Diana were quite complimentary

Was this a lot of years ago? He's been clean and sober for almost 30 years and as someone who's been a fan for almost 40 years, I think the MP at the height of WWW's fame was somewhat troubled and therefore would explain the version of him you describe above.

Quite the gentleman these days, I can speak from personal experience..

about seven years ago

I have never had anyone behave like that to me. Ever. It was genuinely shocking. I just walked off and left him. Not going to deal with aggressive men in any walk of life and especially at work.

Funnily enough, before I left to talk to him, another celeb who I'd been having a lovely chat with said "oh you're off to see MP now? Tell him to fuck off, from me." I was bemused until I felt like I was about to get my head kicked in for asking a simple and innocuous question..

Princess Michael's reputation proceeds her, I believe. I think even the Queen or Queen mum declared that she was too grand for them...She's not known as princess pushy for nothing

My spidey sense is working with both George and Lando then. Can't bear the pair of them. I initially liked Lando, but some point after 2021 he totally changed and became another horror. One Nico I'm a bit disappointed to hear about, one I'm surprised about. Not surprised about Jenson either, he gives off those vibes. I only want to hear nice things about Sainz Jr and more on Carmen!

I totally see it with both GR and LN. MV called GR out for being fake at the end of last season, would love to know more about that. @CruisingDuck do you know what MV is like? He gets a bad rep but apparently he’s a very decent guy.

Such a rich boy sport that it’s not a surprise to hear they’re like this but their PRs work hard for the nice guy images 🙄

Oh, and def more on Carmen!

Radio 1 show came to our area set on the beach. Saville was the DJ my friend was invited into his caravan. She came running out very distressed. She was 14 . Nasty experience.

Many years ago, in the mid ‘80s, I worked in a busy pub restaurant (a gastropub before the term was coined) near Henley. Being where it was, we got a lot of famous and well-recognised customers, and by and large they were just customers like anyone else, nobody bothered them or pestered for autographs - it was a very laid-back place and very popular.

One busy evening a man came in and loudly announced to the staff (and everyone else) that his client, Mr Rowan Atkinson, was about to enter the premises, and NOBODY was to approach him as his privacy was sacrosanct. Sure enough, the door opened and a group of about six people made an entrance, the privacy-seeking individual in a white suit and sunglasses (it was dark outside) with his equally flamboyant girlfriend (Debbie Ash, I think) in tow. To say there was a collective dropping of jaws would be an understatement - all conversation in the bar stopped as the group made their way through to the restaurant. The subsequent tittering must have filtered through though, I imagine. It was very odd behaviour for someone who didn’t want to be noticed.

I know someone who worked for Geri Halliwell / Horner and they.... were not complimentary. The diva / rudeness / demands & aggression meant they took 6 months off of work after leaving that job.

A year or so ago a client took me to a very exclusive shooting club where she and her husband are also members. I got chatting to a member of staff and they said exactly the same as you. (And she's completely hopeless at shooting, when I said I was worried I would be terrible someone said "don't worry, you couldn't be any worse than Geri!")

FWIW it was clay pigeon not living things, before anyone starts... 😂

I have to say, for entertainment value Geri is probably one of my favourite celebrities - and I don't mean that bitchily, more that she seems to live on a different planet.

I know someone who worked for Gaiman (and Palmer) years before the allegations came out. They were made to sign an NDA (but not without telling me he's an piece of shit and to stay away from him). Gaiman is very litigious - and still a Scientologist I think.

Boss (years ago) was part of a meeting at Bob and Paula's house, said Bob was incredibly rude to Paula during the meeting with everyone watching.

I think they were both as bad as each other. I was waiting with a celebrity entourage at an airport - Bob and celeb saw each other. Bob started to walk over to say hi and Paula dragged him away.

I completely get the reluctance to speak out when no court has judged that any criminal activity took place. But he has admitted to consensual sex with women that at the very least was inappropriate because of the power imbalance, and I think more men should be calling out their friends and colleagues and family members for engaging in inappropriate relationships.

I didn't know he was a scientologist. I don't really understand what it is that attracts people to Scientology.

Maybe Michael Sheen is worried about the power balance of his own 26 year age gap relationship? 😅

I think Gaiman's father was a Scientologist so he was raised it in. But it explains the culture of collective hushing things up.

silenceofthecows · 28/04/2025 11:12

The most disappointing thing about Neil Gaiman, is his relationship with Saint Pterry Pratchett. There is no way that he could not have been aware of the inappropriate behaviour- it sadly slurs his memory for me.
