Easter hols this week??

Seems like so many kids have broken up for Easter already? In my area they finish next Friday and have the traditional week before and week after Easter off!

What county are you and have the kids broken up?

Worcestershire here.

NE Scotland and they break up a week earlier than most other places in Scotland and it's fine it means stuff is still cheaper!

Kent. We broke up on Friday 4th April. Back 22rd April just after Easter Monday.

London here and most schools I know have broken up and are back the Tuesday after Easter.

We've broken up. I'm not sure when it changed but it always used to be the week of Good Friday and the week of Easter

Easter is late this year, so I would have thought many schools would be doing the 2 weeks before Easter and going back after Easter Monday

Central Scotland and schools finished up Friday for 2 weeks.

Agreed. Easter last year was very early and this year it's very late. Most schools try to aim for approximately the same two weeks each year for the Easter break regardless of when Easter falls so the majority would have finished on Friday and return just after Easter Monday.

Schools here (northern Ireland) are in for another week and then mostly closed for two weeks. They always coincide with Easter itself.

However we also finish for summer at end of June for two months.

But do you get a week off for May half term as well?

West Yorkshire - me and North Yorkshire- my kids and we both broke up on Friday.

Devon and last day was Thursday. Go back day after Easter Monday.

South Yorkshire. Finished over a week ago. One more week to go.
Then they have 4 days back in school, before the actual Easter long weekend.

They always have the first two weeks in April off, regardless of when Easter is.

South Wales here. We break up this Friday.

N Wales. Our county has stuck to the week before and after the Easter weekend, despite it making for uneven length terms.

This year we go back for 4 weeks after Easter, then are back off for whit. And we have a training day and a bank holiday in those 4 weeks.

Midlothian here and finished on Friday. They go back on the 22nd. I think English schools get a week in May, which we don’t, and then we break up for the summer on the 26th June.

Northumberland here, finish on Thursday this week due to teacher training on the Friday, back on 28th April then a short half term before being off the week of the late May bank holiday

Warwickshire. We have another week to go with Easter in the middle of our holiday. It always been noticable, mainly at work, that we are often a weekafter neighbouring Leicestershire
