They are the ones in government now. Were you also on here starting threads when the Tories were fucking up everything with total moral bankruptcy?

Yes I was. Listening to all the Labour supporters preening about how wonderful a labour government would be.

The grown ups would be back in charge bringing honesty and integrity back to politics, Starmer would smash the gangs, help the poorest, help businesses, prioritise growth, improve education, fix the foundations blah blah blah. That went well didn't it. Now they are literally handing the keys to No10 to Nigel on a silver platter, yet they are too arrogant and dogmatic to see it.

Do you have anything to add to the thread topic today?

Since 2022, workers in the United Kingdom have staged a series of strikes over their pay and working conditions. In December 2022 for example, there were approximately 830,000 working days lost due to labor disputes, with 155,000 workers being on strike in that month. This was the peak, in terms of working days lost in this surge in industrial action that continued throughout 2023 and into 2024. The first wave of these strikes began in May 2022 when the UK's largest transport union; the RMT, voted to go on strike in the following month. Industrial action has also spread to other sectors in the UK, with workers in health, education, and many other sectors opting to strike during this period.

Using the RMT doesn’t really work. They are notorious for striking. Striking when they don’t need to as they are already paid well. Conditions are already excellent.

Is that Runcorn? I doubt Labour will be emoji happy if Reform wipe their lead.

JRM lost his seat to Dan Norris in Somerset. He's recently been arrested for CSA.

Polling for Runcorn by election predicts Reform win. Bookies also have Reform on 4/11 favourites.

I think Labour won by a large margin at GE and the area has been dominated by Labour for 40 years. It’ll be interesting to see the swing.

So soon in their term too.

Does your dislike of Reform not outweigh your glee at Labour losing?

I'm not the poster you are asking, but I will be happy to see Reform win now, because I think that both Labour and Conservatives need a bloody nose to wake up to their stupidity.

EasternStandard · 16/04/2025 15:02

I think if there are areas that have only voted Labour for years start to go to Reform Labour will be in trouble.

Wales / Labour included.

Call me old fashioned but I'd take plain incompetence over xenophobic idiocy any day of the week.

Parsley1234 · 16/04/2025 15:08

It’s going to be a rocky time for sure. I will be bloody ecstatic to see these arrogant Labour imbeciles get a bloody nose over and over again total disgrace they all are. They have destroyed this country and with nothing to show except for millionaires leaving pensioners poorer and Pakistani rape gangs going wild

Absolutely, but both main parties continue to hide their head in the sand.

A catastrophic by-election might wake them up for the main event.

They need to start listening to the electorate.

EasternStandard · 16/04/2025 15:12

Looking at the policies pre GE I could see Labour could easily lead to Reform support increasing. They’ve made some bad decisions that will help the latter.

People believed those policies would work, so here we are. We’ll see how they both do.

Agree regarding a wake up call being required. It's just that anything involving Reform makes me feel queasy.
