If these horses were ‘-absolutely adored’ by their owners etc they would not play Russian Roulette with their lives. The horses are unfortunately money making machines and are made to jump heights that can and do kill them. People then bet on whether they survive quite literally. Disgusting.

One report said he was lead horse and fell on his nose four fences from the end. I haven't watched the race but a toddler falls on his nose when he trips over his laces . I'm wagering this poor horse went over his own neck

I’m backing the equine vets who have to deal with the inevitable deaths of horses who are forced into this barbaric sport. I’m backing whichever god that may exist to ease the suffering of the horses while they are shot and disposed off. Vile sport. Vile people. We are a horrible horrible species.

The entire ‘festival’ of the grand national runs over 3 days. And yes horses die before the main event. Every year. On every race track and every day. But hey it’s ok. Folk get to wear nice hats and have a flutter. What does it matter that sentient animals die for human entertainment.
