Well, had a bad accident and has been given 4 days to live but is well enough to give an update on SM. And quite a long one at that. Mah 🤷‍♀️??

Wakemeupbe4yougogo · 31/03/2025 20:46

I've never understood how her parents allowed all this to happen. Seems like she was failed by an awful lot of people around her. For that, I feel very sorry for her.

So much for solidarity amongst women. Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

She's probably posting because she knew if she didn't, this would never have made the news given that the royal fascists would pay every fucking paper to keep it quiet. Use your brains ffs. More to the point, just because you or your families have experienced renal failure, does not make you experts. There could be other reasons alongside that which could be making things so much worse.

Poor Virginia.

You’re being very kind. All I will say though is that I have never seen a news report of a potentially fatal car crash where the person making the report was the actual driver. If someone is in a car hit by a bus hard enough to cause fatal injuries to internal organs, the likelihood is they’d be on a ventilator / hooked up to a dialysis machine and be in no fit state to post on their social media platforms. Where’s the report from the police who would have attended the scene? Witnesses? The bus driver?

If her Wikipedia page is even half-accurate, it seems her parents were not part of her life from quite an early age.

I was wrong. It’s hit BBC news too!

ChompandaGrazia · 31/03/2025 21:09

Something seems rather odd here.

samarrange · 31/03/2025 21:12

A school bus crash would be reported in the local news. Apparently she lives in Perth, Western Australia, and interestingly there was a report of a school bus crash there two days ago, but there were no injuries in that case: https://www.dailygazette.com/leader_herald/news/education/broadalbin-perth-school-bus/article_30c2c584-8157-429b-a66b-9611dfcfc022.html

(But of course maybe The Illuminati™ have removed all trace of the report from Google and all major Australian news sites.)

Broadalbin-Perth school bus involved in Perth crash

A Broadalbin-Perth school bus was involved in a crash on Route 30 Friday afternoon in Perth in Perth, officials said.

Yes, it's appeared on there now.

However, as @samarrange said on the previous page, the wording is very odd. Everything is in quotation marks and rather than being reported as fact, it's saying things like "Virginia Giuffre in hospital after 'serious accident', spokesperson says" (that's the headline).

The BBC also makes a point of saying, "It remains unclear where and when the crash occurred."

It's very, very careful reporting.

INeedAnotherName · 31/03/2025 21:14

This is all very weird. Even weirder is her having no contact with her own children.

If true, I hope they get to see her very soon.

Toddlerteaplease · 31/03/2025 21:15

She’s got four days to live but is not on any sort of life support and doesn’t look like she’s had any surgery? Kidney issues are often treatable. I don’t think this is true.

Yes, it's basically saying "A lot of news sources are saying X happened" (which is true) as opposed to "We have confirmed that X happened".

The BBC gets a lot of stick, but they are generally pretty good on fact-checking (give or take the Cliff Richard police raid, doh) about breaking news.

Oh, good find! Apparently another vehicle was involved, but as you say, no one was hurt.

"Fulton County Sheriff Richard Giardino said a car scraped the side of the bus when it moved into the middle of the road. The other operator hit the bus and scraped the side of the bus,” Giardino said. “Nobody was hurt.”

Could this have been the incident, and she's just amplified it? The speed limit would fit what she's described.

The idea that she's collided with a school bus at speed, and has ended up with life-ending injuries yet the incident wasn't reported anywhere just seems a ridiculous stretch.

I was rushed to hospital actually dying from ketoacidosis a few years ago ( not exaggerating, had I not got to hospital when I did it would have been a different story) and I still managed to be texting a lot whilst hooked up to a drip. So I can well imagine VG being able to send a message on SM

She grew up dirt poor in Florida, where there’s little or no social safety net. One look at her dad tells me he lived a rough life too. No doubt he, and her, were just happy she got a job with a rich man. I doubt they thought much beyond that.

Erm I think you have to be either ridiculously naive or just neglectful not to think anything of your attractive teenage unqualified daughter being offered a job as a "travelling masseuse"

eternalopt · 31/03/2025 21:34

4 days is oddly specific. Never known doctors to be that precise.

Eyesopenwideawake · 31/03/2025 21:35

Giving her a possible benefit of the doubt, she might have been told that without treatment she might have died in 4 days. Is that possible (asking people with medical knowledge)?

NautilusLionfish · 31/03/2025 21:40

MidnightPatrol · 31/03/2025 15:25

Seems odd to know you have four days to live following a road traffic accident….?

And then spend part of those days updating Instagram. More so when you are estranged from your kids. Wouldn't you want to be spending that time repairing the bridge with your kids?
I wonder why she is estranged from them

whynotwhatknot · 31/03/2025 21:42

no doctor woul sayhow many days you have and where are all the monitors an wires

Ah no, apparently that was an older lady with a child in the car in that crash @samarrange.

So, plenty of reporting for an empty bus that crashed and hurt no one.

No reporting for a bus that collided with a car, apparently causing life-ending injuries though.

Weird that.

Absolutely this.

I have twins about to turn 16 this year. A DD and a DS.

I cannot imagine letting DS go off with a male celebrity the way those parents let their kids go with Michael Jackson for sleepovers and all that involved, and I certainly can't imagine fondly waving my beautiful DD off to become a "travelling masseuse".

I’m not sure-I don’t know about Australian news specifically but people seem to say this working on the basis that a school bus crashing would be newsworthy because it’s full of children. But empty school buses are driving around all the time, and I can’t think why anyone would think an empty school bus crashing into a car would make national or even local news?!
