Yes because the rich and powerful have never paid, manipulated , used their positions and status to make evidence disappear or smear their victims have they ? Shows the type of person being friends with a known pedophile and defending them. And as you say it doesn't matter what we think because they'll never face justice because they're rich and powerful. Makes me sick.

You misunderstand. I never made any comment on what the "rich and powerful" do because I know that we live in a corrupt, toxic world unfortunately.

The basic point is, without evidence, neither prince nor estate dweller can be held to account. There are plenty of people of no particular social rank who evade the law because of the 'position' they have in the community or the people they associate with.

I couldn't condemn PA any higher for remaining friends with this disgusting, reprehensible, evil convict. I think he's an arrogant buffoon who sees people for what they are worth to him. Doesn't prove he slept with Guiffre, doesn't prove he knew she was trafficked. I actually doubt he would even have known what trafficked was.

You believe what you want. You're being daft believing he's innocent, and expensive lawyers make the most money defending the guilty. What's to stop other people he's never met getting paid from him? Oh yes the fact they've got nothing on him. She did. That's why he paid.

Now you're being even more obtuse. I don't believe "he's innocent". I never said that. I don't know. Neither do you. You don't understand how the legal system works.

There are risks involved in running any case. Those are assessed and a value judgement made. It happens all the time in industrial tribunals too.

There's nothing to stop other people making allegations against him, but nobody else has. If it was a pattern of behaviour... don't you think the Guiffre thing would have encouraged them out of the woodwork?

But he sure as hell decided it was a good idea to sit and yap on that ridiculous BBC interview. He could easily have brought the “I take photos with every other commoner” defence on board if he wanted to show how innocent he was that badly.

But well, it obviously worked well enough in his favour.

He was a deluded prick to do that interview, and he should have been strongly advised not to do it.

I don't think it would ever have occurred to him to say such a thing. People are quite literally invisible to him. Maybe that's how it is when you've always been surrounded by and tended to people who do your every bidding.

Of course he'd know what trafficked is he's a (sadly) royal Prince that has staff and advisors. No doubt he was told and advised and being the arrogant git he is chose to ignore the advice. He would of been advised about epstien too as the Royals have a reputation to keep and well paid staff that do that. He's not a run of the mill person. That's why things get covered up. Always have. Going bed now. Night .

I think you are giving him too much credit. I think he's unaware of much of the workings on the real world.

Did he come across as in any way worldly wise in his interview?!

I think the fact he paid her is proof , you don't pay someone if you have never met them or done anything. I've never met him , the majority of the British public have never met him why hasnt he paid us? There's a reason her paid her.

It’s not proof of anything other than he’s rich and wanted it to go away quickly.

Taking it as “proof of guilt” is as short-sighted as taking her accepting the money instead of pursuing a criminal case against him as proof of his innocence.

I agree, he was persuaded by 'the firm' to make it go away. He could have counter sued her, she backed down from those who threatened to do that but his family wanted no more publicity. It was easier to pay her off - and we do not know how much.

I can totally understand why he wanted to fight it, and maybe he should have. It might have cost a fortune, and it might have brought out a lot of dirty laundry, but it could have put an end to all of the speculation.

Interesting the Virginia chose to name and shame the one man that would give her maximum publicity and the most $$$. There were plenty of others apparently not worth the effort to pursue.

Oh yes of course... because she wanted money out of it must mean it's all not true!!
This is the perfect victim thing.
Of course she went after him in particular because of the attention it would bring and the possibility of a big payout. That doesn't remove his guilt.
It doesn't matter what her motivations are ar all. He was on epstein island AFTER he had been accused of sex trafficking kids. He was pictured with his arm around a drunk teenage girl at a party thrown by an accused pedophile.
He's not intellectually challenged. He may have not given a shit how old any one was or who anyone was but that doesn't mean he didn't understand the scenario. He's a grown man an expensively educated one at that. It's so disgusting this turning things around to look at the characters of the accusers. Yes they were all troubled girls there! Yes they took money and gifts in exchange for sex...
But these were teenagers!! You honestly want to focus on that as though it makes it all right?? Oh they chose to be there they wanted money... so it's ok that a bunch of powerful wealthy nonce's got to have a sex island is it? We're just going to let that go because the girls weren't innocent enough??
Absolutely grim levels of misogyny.

And an absolutely grim interpretation of my post. Read with some understanding what I ACTUALLY said, rather than what you wanted me to have said.

Here is the latest, do scroll down and you will see she is due to appear in court for breaking a restraining order imposed for violence:

I take no pleasure in any of this, the woman is a mess.

I think she would have backed down but the royals didn't want to risk it in view of the late Queen's platinum jubilee and all sorts of other reasons. As for cost, the ski chalet he sold was estimated at £19m, not that you can believe half of what you read in the press but it was obviously worth a bomb.

The bus driver has given his version of events and it's very different from hers.

‘Blown out of proportion’: Bus driver speaks out on Virginia Roberts Giuffre collision | news.com.au — Australia’s leading news site

Prince Andrew is a sleaze, there’s no doubt about that.

But Virginia Roberts is no innocent victim. She knows exactly what she’s doing.

Bingbopboomboomboombopbam · 03/04/2025 06:18

@Never2many good thing you don’t need to be innocent to be a victim

Plave · 03/04/2025 08:47

I think this weird incident has really called Virginia’s credibility into question

LBFseBrom · 03/04/2025 10:23

RoundRedRobin, I was very surprised to read Virginia Roberts had a 'carer', who was driving the car at the time of the incident.

Goodness knows where this will go from here, might be better for all concerned if it was just dropped but can't see the press leaving it alone now.

I have always thought she was a not very accomplished liar. Manipulated by those around her in order to make money from those she accused.

SemiRetiredLoveGoddeess · 03/04/2025 11:13

This is what my Northern Father in the days of unpolitical correctness They would say .Sounds like a bit of of a queer How'd You Do to me.

When the word queer was commonly used to describe something. Where the facts were not straight forward or odd or dodgy..

Prince Andrew, the sleazy, low life creep. should be behind bars for my money and on the Sex Offenders Register to boot.

I bet there is now a Conspiracy, Theory Rumour trending that the Bus Driver was paid to creash into this woman!!

Lunde · 03/04/2025 11:53

My speculation - and it is speculation - is that VG might have a problem with alcohol and/or drugs that causes her medical issues such as liver of kidney issues. It would fit with having a carer, bruising easily, and there being a restraining order against her that prevents her from seeing her husband and kids.

I think her post could have been a clumsy attempt to get her family to contact her.

And him being possibly/ probably guilty doesn’t mean she’s innocent.

I think they’re both liars. I think they’re both predators.

I just don’t KNOW where one ends and the other begins.

It’s sad so many conflate criticism of her as defence of him.

I think they’re birds of a feather.
