I think no one talks about us because we're the ones just getting on with life and looking after teens/grandkids/elderly family as well as working full time... little time to stick our heads above the parapet. (Definitely the case for me). God I miss the 80s too OP!

Yeah I think so although I'm an "elder" gen x so my kids are grown up, I saw something that Gen Xers are as hard as nails and take no shit from anybody. I like that 😀

Gen x here. I get mildly annoyed by these millennials vs boomers shite. Us gen x lot are just sitting here being ignored while they battle it out. Meanwhile we are/have been/will be in charge of wiping all their arses.

80s music was so scorned for so long, and now it’s being revered again. It was such a glamours decade, but also there was alot of ‘tribes’ - New Romantics, heavy metal etc. Today all the youth seem more similar.

Yeah there was none of this "anxiety" or tracking shit. We just lied to our parents about where we were going, they were none the wiser 😉

I could cook a roast dinner for 8 at the age of 12. I was babysitting my younger brother and stepsister at 9. You bet we were awesome. Still are.

gen X is the coolest, the best, my boomer parents and my gen z kids agree - we seem to not really give a fuck 😂

I'm just a gen x DH is a boomer . I had a great childhood in the mid 70s/early 80s. By the 90s I was mum to 2 .

I never really understood all this gen stuff isn't it just for marketing,?
