Trump must have something wrong with him

I admit that I don't follow politics closely.

I'm not sure what is happening with Trump.
One day he is saying one thing then the next he either forgets what he said or changes the words.
He is coming across as a mad man or is this the way dictators act.

How he is treating President Zelensky is disgusting.

The vice president is younger, he can take over.
Unless a majority of the population get their brains organised.

I agree with this.

I do feel that Trump himself is sort of irrelevant - he's influenced by Putin, Musk and the likes and just being a useful idiot.

Vance on the other hand is young and here to stay and I'd say he's really dangerous.

Putin has to have something big on Trump - otherwise I just don’t understand it. Vance -despite recently slagging off Trump - now appears to be trying to disappear up his anal tract

Looks to me like Putin and Trump have made a pact to divide up Ukraine and its minerals between them. Possibly the whole of Europe. Hitler and Stalin all over again. They would fight each other eventually.

You need to stop imagining that Trump wants the things you would want if you were president.

He's a businessman. He wants lots of money.

He's a psychopath and the most powerful man in the world. He really, really doesn't care about anyone else's opinion or interests.

His thought process is something like:

Ukraine's mineral deposits look good, and with the war uncertainty, they're up for grabs. I'll have that.

Russia is making a play for it too. Weighing up cost/benefit,there's better return if I cut a deal with Putin now, rather than pay to keep Zelensky fighting him in the hope of a bigger cut.

Zelensky's signature will mean other countries let me take the deposits without interfering. He doesn't have enough power to be able to force his way to keep the profit himself: he's just an impediment I need to get out of the way as cheaply as possible. Try bullying him to sign, that's cheap. If that doesn't work <next strategy>.

Right, next deal!

You’ve hit the nail on the head!

Trump doesn't do diplomacy - he has no understanding of it.

USA voted in the Tycoon and that's what you get ‘a Tough guy’ who is very very impatient!

I'm not sure about Vance being dangerous . . I think he would like to be dangerous but I don't think he has trump's ghastly talent for generating a cult of personality around himself.

I think he’s playing at being president. I don’t think he has any idea of the ramifications of what he’s doing. It’s like a kid in a sweet shop. Incredibly unsettling to watch

Yes, that's the impression I get, too. " OOOH look what I can do now!"

He's dangerous because he doesn't understand what he's doing and he's very naive.

I can't see him getting voted in as president via an election but if something happens to Trump in the next 46 months he's automatically in.

The issue I'm seeing is that it doesn't need any special personality - with Twatter, Facebook and Palantir controlled by those who brought Trump into power it's not that difficult to manipulate opinions of sufficiently large proportion of electorate to get Vance in. This is tried and tested and pretty successful technology which has been used many time before incl Brexit here

Vascular Dementia, I’ve been saying it for years.

I worked in dementia for over twenty years. That man is unwell.

I’m not saying he’s not a psychopath, he is. But he’s also really not well.

What symptoms of vascular dementia do you think he's displaying?

Exactly that. Incredibly dangerous individual who is treating the Presidency like some sort of joke. He’s a megalomaniac. No charm. No class. No manners. No humility. Lousy judge of character.

He’ll be worse than Trump!

yeah I'd rather have Trump than Vance.

Cattery · 03/03/2025 14:05

I’d rather have neither but there we are.

H34th · 03/03/2025 14:12

The man's got more money than sense and is a puppet for people with even more money. Literally thinks he can say and do whatever he pleases and is untouchable.

What has always worried me is not Trump himself, it's the people who have supported and voted him into a powerful position. The sheer number of people who think it's ok to have him in office is so worrying.

RosaMoline · 03/03/2025 14:17

Is it true that Trump really is incontinent?! 😳
And, it just occurred to me - we haven’t seen or heard anything about Melania since the inauguration have we? (I was convinced she’d file for divorce after his first term.. how wrong was I?)

Cattery · 03/03/2025 14:18

@H34th It’s desperately worrying. What are they THINKING??

MadderthanMorris · 03/03/2025 14:37

He says whatever shit he needs to say to get the emotional reaction that is required for whatever tactical purposes it's serving at the time. He doesn't care whether any of it is consistent or true because he doesn't need to - he's appealling to people who neither care about nor appear to understand such things.

swimlyn · 03/03/2025 14:46

Fleetheart · 28/02/2025 18:46

I really really hope that he is being like that for show to Putin. But I don’t know if that’s possible

He is Putin's puppet.

He thinks he has a 'respectful' relationship with Putin. 😄

Stupid stupid man.
