What boring thing are you excited about?

Went to lidl today and they've got 30% off fruit! Got some mangos and plums to add to the pineapple and satsumas I already had - on a health kick and trying to ditch the sweets - so far it's been 4 days

Also, got a new spiraliser from pro cook - so easy to use and I've been making 'spaghetti' bolognese with spiralised courgettes - delish

These two boring things have made my week so exciting 😭😭😭

@LoudPlumDog I'm so sorry for your loss x

I'm a bit excited (but also a bit nervous) to go and buy some new jeans. I've lost 4 stone and dropped a few dress sizes.

Well done girl that's an amazing loss 🙌🥰, you're gonna have a lovely time

I'm really enjoying this thread.
I often, eventually, 'unwatch' threads, but not this one.
It's so nice to read of all the little things in daily life that make others happy, and which we feel the need to classify as 'boring'!
So often parents deny themselves some of the most basic things, in order to give a little more to their families.
All the things that shed a bit of brightness are all so unique to each of us, and it's very gratifying to know that even the smallest pleasures are acknowledged, and appreciated.
This is a 'feel good' thread, thank you @mumofoneAlonebutokay

Thanks @252833z 🙂❤️

Yes, things are crazy in the world right now, especially after that press conference, but all we can do is find joy where we can

I took dd out so I'm loving catching up on the comments 🥰

@xYerDaSellsAvon I need to know more about label makers. I haven't got one and I've been thinking about it. Also love a new tea towel - I like to get ones from places I've been to. There's an artist called 'Nice things by Helena' who has lovely picture ones. Particularly good are her Christmas ones.

As for the simple thing that makes me happy - a pattern on top of my coffee in a lovely mug and the time to drink it in peace!

I don't drink coffee but intend to learn to make them with the patterns for future guests 🥰

Finally unearthed the spin dryer MIL promised us ages ago from her garage.
We have so many things that take ages to dry and Im looking forward to watching how much extra water comes out after the washing machine has done its best.

I've started tracking my sleep.

I wake up excited each morning to see how the night has gone! My husband is loving the updates.

Also, got a new rug for inside the front door. It wasn't expensive but is so plush and feels lovely underfoot.

I'm after a new rug. What make did you get and online or in store?

Whats a footner?

Footner is a hard skin remover for your feet but with no scrubbing or hard work involved. You wear a pair of exfoliating socks for an hour, wash off the gel and then around 4 days later the horror begins. It’s hard core, dead skin shedding time. You won’t believe the amount of skin that will come off, often in long strips like peeling an orange. It leaves your feet incredibly soft though. Gruesomely enjoyable.

@mumofoneAlonebutokay unfortunately I’ve never mastered ‘latte art’ with my frothy milk but it is a pleasure when you get a pretty leaf from a barista at a coffee shop.
This is a lovely thread.
