Went to lidl today and they've got 30% off fruit! Got some mangos and plums to add to the pineapple and satsumas I already had - on a health kick and trying to ditch the sweets - so far it's been 4 days

Also, got a new spiraliser from pro cook - so easy to use and I've been making 'spaghetti' bolognese with spiralised courgettes - delish

These two boring things have made my week so exciting 😭😭😭

Shark handheld with pet tool!

Wondered why I was putting myself through the aggravation of lugging a heavy vacuum up winding stairs.

Funnily enough, exactly the same. I had a handheld previously and it was crap but that was a good ten years ago - I'm hoping technology (and suction) has improved since then.

So supersets of 2 exercises on the same muscle - like triceps dips and triceps cable push down - with rests of maximum 90s between each superset. Similar for giant sets but lower weights and high reps on the 3rd week on 3 exercises on the same muscle group

The idea is to hit the same muscle slightly differently with each exercise and to exhaust it to recruit more muscle fibres.
He also says that it spreads the strain more for the tendons as they are working slightly differently each time too.

I need to do a good list of exercises hitting each muscle or muscle group as there may be others in the gym and I certainly can't bag 3 pieces of equipment.

If you are bored of straight sets, I sometimes drop a straight set and add myoreps to the end of each set to keep it interesting. Basically, you go to failure, wait 10-15 s and then get out another rep or whatever you can manage. I repeat this 3 times after each straight set. The idea is to give the muscle maximum stimulus as you are performing more reps near failure.

DP got me a new mug from a charity shop for 65p and my tea tastes really nice in it.

I love my kettle. It's transparent and the whole thing lights up blue. It's fun.

We've just had a new ordinary cheapish kettle, which we are using, but it's such a good shape I am delighted.

I've lit a campfire in the fire pit, heard the blackbirds singing as the sun went down, and can now see stars, Mars, Jupiter and Venus.

I bought a tiny frying pan, sufficient for one fried egg, got it at the garden centre this morning and am buzzing about using it tomorrow morning. I’ll be excited when I wake up.
