What boring thing are you excited about?

Went to lidl today and they've got 30% off fruit! Got some mangos and plums to add to the pineapple and satsumas I already had - on a health kick and trying to ditch the sweets - so far it's been 4 days

Also, got a new spiraliser from pro cook - so easy to use and I've been making 'spaghetti' bolognese with spiralised courgettes - delish

These two boring things have made my week so exciting 😭😭😭

On the Lidl vibe I got one of their £1.50 boxes - I've never had one before and I've always been a bit intimidated to take one. But I did it!! And made leek and potato soup, banana bread and chopped 14 onions to freeze. Felt like a doomsday prepper, it was very satisfying

Getting free food from the food stall on the market when ever i want it.

Doing the laundry
and
wiping the condensation off the windows in the morning 😳…. My free dehumidifiers!

I’m house sitting and dog sitting and they left a started puzzle. I found the missing edge piece under the table. So satisfying.
They said they didn’t mind if I did some but how much is too much. I’m obsessed!

Oh and I discovered a new 'flavour' of Zoflora being stocked in our shop! My cupboard under the sink is about 90% Zoflora now.

I've started tracking my sleep.

I wake up excited each morning to see how the night has gone! My husband is loving the updates.

Also, got a new rug for inside the front door. It wasn't expensive but is so plush and feels lovely underfoot.

Clocks going forward

I've just ordered a chippy for dinner. DD finishes work in 5 minutes so she's going to pick it up on her way home and get me some Irn Bru 1901 on the way home.

It's pretty much the only fizzy drink I can have now since I can't have artificial sweeteners at all and I've had to cut out caffeine because of a heart condition. Because I've been feeling crappy it's been almost like having proper old fashioned Lucozade again. Just a different flavour I guess, but it's a great pick-me-up when I feel rough.

I just got taken with a notion to have a wardrobe clear-out. Two bags for the charity shop. But the main source of joy is I keep opening the doors and looking at my spacious and well-coordinated racks (not a euphemism).

DD got Mousetrap for her birthday and we are playing it this evening. I never had it as a child so I am very excited.

Got some Reebok Aztrek trainers on Vinted. I wanted some since I was a teenager, and I envied those who had them! They're really comfy without socks too.

Finding a beloved pair of jeans in the back of the wardrobe after a declutter. Thought they were gone forever....

We have a new The Range!!!!!!!

I always get excited about bin day. Because then all my rubbish and recycling is gone and it's all tidy and organised.

I picked the worst day to take dd out 😭😭

Anyway, so scary, can't worry about that

What i can do is take joy in little things that bring me happiness and peace ❤️

My cat has finally decided that he likes me, 7 days into my husband (his favourite) being away. I am revelling in a snoring cat cuddling me.

I mopped my tiled patio late this afternoon after a big clean up.

I’m excited to see it in the morning when I come down and might have coffee out there with coat on.
