Has anyone bought anything advertised on social media that wasn’t rubbish?

I don’t mean like Nike advertising on Instagram or Facebook, but more like brands that you only ever see on there.

I’ve just bought a refillable pen from something I saw online and love it.
also a book about watercolour painting but I’ve only had the chance to complete 2 of the projects….

Colour Cubes. I like to do colouring in etc, and am rubbish picking colours. They have been great. They are basically 500 different colour palettes.

Mould magic by must have ideas. It actually works

devildeepbluesea · 09/02/2025 18:31

More from must have ideas - bags that keep stuff fresh for ages, and a chopping board that defrosts stuff really quickly. Both brilliant.

Yes I bought the Prime mascara for more mature lashes. It's pricey but worth it.

Also Shapermint and Couvurture shapewear/underwear.

Whizz pop bang magazine. Saw it advertised on Facebook and my daughter loves it. Never come across it anywhere else.

I keep eyeing up thermal printers and Loops, so I’m interested to hear what others thought of these.

Mould Magic worked really well on grout. Would definitely repurchase.

I have Loops ( the earplugs). They are great. I have the quiet ones.

Yes, Ninepine Asana pants (wide leg trousers)

Absolutely brilliant and worth the £££

Flakeisanakedtwirl · 09/02/2025 18:37

Vessi shoes. Heard about how they're 'completely waterproof' so you can walk through a river or snow and keep your socks dry, but 'so light you can run in them' and so 'breathable they keep your feet cool in summer'.

'The only shoes you'll ever need' - bought some for my husband, but guess who sometimes steals them! They're are literally as they say!

ManchesterLu · 09/02/2025 18:37

I'm awful for buying things from Facebook ads. Some things have been great, others not so much, but that's the risk you take! One thing I bought was a retro games console with 20,000 games preloaded.

It was the thing I was definitely most dubious about. It took weeks and weeks to arrive and I thought I'd been scammed.

But it turned up.. and it was absolutely wonderful!

CombatBarbie · 09/02/2025 18:38

Iron wand mascara, got it for mine and both DDs as a stocking filler. All love it.

Thermal printers, got them for dds for Xmas and label printers.

The tymo mermaid wave curler. Love it!

Think I need to go check out the must have ideas page now though....

I don’t like the loops. None of the different size ends seem to fit my ears properly.

cramptramp · 09/02/2025 18:57

I bought an olive oil sprayer from TikTok shop. It's really good considering it was so cheap.

I was going to say the exact same thing.

SuffolkBargeWoman · 09/02/2025 19:06

Mould Magic
Loops
Tymo hot brush
Rumi Cosmetics mascara (bloody brilliant)
Twenty Two Lion's Mane supplement

Was going to say this. Brill stuff

Postapocalypticcowgirl · 09/02/2025 19:12

I've bought a few pairs of trousers from Halara- the flared cords are comfy and look cool (IMO) and have big pockets. They aren't perfect but for the price they're great.

HaddyAbrams · 09/02/2025 19:14

Koh cleaning spray.

DontCallMeBaby · 09/02/2025 19:17

A fur buddy, I think that’s the name, from must have ideas. Removes cat hair without fannying about with sticky strips. Essential when my cat likes to spend the entire day sleeping exactly where my chest would be were I in bed.

Mookie81 · 09/02/2025 19:17

Another one for the Tymo brush, it's brilliant and I have afro hair.

Disturbia81 · 09/02/2025 19:54

Bought loads based off fb adverts and only one was dodgy, everything else was fantastic and I've carried on buying.

dodgemall · 09/02/2025 20:12

The viral floor scrubbing brush with the squeegee on one side. It's great!

MaybeIamJealous · 09/02/2025 20:53

I've just taken a look at Mould Magic. Does it actually "remove" the mould, or is it essentially a bleach? Does the mould come back?

It didn't for me. I have had a few good bits from Must Have Ideas but the emails are relentless, as is the upselling at checkout.
