How much alcohol to take on a week away?

More curious to know how much you would take in this instance-:

Me and dh, away for a week, with 3 other couples. We've already agreed to each take our own booze, so I don't need a sharing buffer. 7 nights. The general vibe of the trip is daytime walks / visits to nearby attractions, then social evenings in with dinner, games, drinks.

What would you and dh/oh take?

Because not everybody drinks every night of a holiday. The amount suggested by some is really a LOT. And there’s a huge range of ‘drinker’.
I’m not a non-drinker by a long stretch.
I like to DO things on a holiday. Hangovers don’t figure in that. So yes the one bottle of wine would do me fine and husband would take 4 beers. Might buy some more while there but won’t drink every night.

Well just don’t answer the thread then. the question is not ‘how much do you drink on holiday’. Then we’d have a variety from ‘nothing’ to ‘every day’.

The OP also hasn’t asked ‘Do you think this is too much alcohol on holiday’. So doesn’t need feedback on what your personal opinion is on what constitutes ‘too much’!

A bottle of prosecco wouldn't give me a hangover.

@Hayley1256 you are welcome to come with me as well ! I have just spent a weekend (so just one overnight) with friends in a very remote location - there are NO shops nor home delivery options. Friend and I took 5 bottles of white & 5 red. Yes we like our wine. The 'guys' took beers and rum, we don't drink either of these. We spent most of the two days cooking, chatting by the river, hiking into the hills, playing games at night (cards etc) Latest 11 30 pm on Saturday. Just to show we didn't drink ourselves into a stupor ha ha....up early on Sunday too.
The others either didn't drink or shared a little of ours at mealtimes. We left half a bottle of white and half a red. Now we're discussing going back to this beautiful spot for 4 nights we are a little aghast .......🤭

This sounds gorgeous, can I ask where you went? Is it UK? Feel free to PM me

Just ran this question by DH who doesn't really drink to be honest - and he said 7 wine and some beers for us both. Take home what you don't drink but it would be nice to have it there and share if you want to.
