Which celebs have you met in daily life?

I just met actor Irene Marot, who played Ron Dixon’s wife DD in Brookside, when she asked me for directions on a London street corner. Happy to report that she is absolutely delightful IRL. (I told her she looked familiar and she seemed surprised and chuffed that I had recognised her.)

So, which “celebrities” (A-list or otherwise) have you met by chance in a “civilian” or daily life context. And what were they like?

To be fair to her though, that would be frustrating especially if a guest had travelled to see the show.
Probably not the box office person's fault and not her finest moment but I think sometimes we do expect celebrities to behave better than everybody else and dismiss them as awful people when in fact they were just having an off day or a moment of stress.

I knew someone that went to uni with Dermot. Apparently he was lovely though extremely focused on getting into TV/media.

Jimmy Nesbit but he's a local man so I'm pretty sure the entire town has met him also most of the top golfers and celebs who like to play a round in these parts (a point to the person who can tell me where I live if you know you know)

Funny how that's seen as a negative, when it's his career, yet we don't judge people wanting other careers negatively for being extremely focused on their goal

Spoke to my mum and its was entirely possible to wake up to find him at the end of your bed WTAF?!

Apparently he could come and go as he pleased, it always bothered her that when she was there he was fixated on one girl who was paraplegic with very little family, he would always draw the curtains round her bed and be there for ages. When my mum mentioned it to the nurse she brushed it off and said he was like a Dad to her and was giving her away at her upcoming wedding. Absolute madness and very sad.

Someone who's face is becoming a daily occurrence on TV atm - used to hang out with my dc - sleep-overs, family came around for Sunday lunch etc, nice kid. One of their friends met up with them recently and they denied all knowledge of dc. Which makes me think either they are consuming large amounts of mindbending drugs or success may have gone a little to their head!😂

I agree with Patricia Quinn. Met her and the rest of the Rocky horror cast last summer. She hates Biggins apparently. Definitely an accentric character.

Met Savile in Broadmoor when I was 14. It was a party held for friends and family and my friends dad was a nurse there. Savile was handing out record vouchers for I think "Our price" and he kissed our hands 🤢Felt creepy vibes even then. He wore these ridiculous short gold shorts too 🤢

Quite a few years ago Kate Winslet came in the pub I worked in, I wasn't on shift but my colleagues said she was very friendly, down to earth and drank pints 🤣
