This afternoon, we will take our toddler to the park and maybe grab a drink in the local pub.

Then it'll be home to get the kids to bed and a Thai takeaway in front of the telly.

Me and hubby have made vision boards for 2025 which we are going to "present" tonight.

I will be in bed for 10 as with a toddler & 3 month old, I don't have sleep credits to spare unfortunately 😂😂

I'm going over to the neighbours. They're elderly, so I'll give an old-fashioned PowerPoint presentation rather than share a vision board.

Are you taking your overhead projector with you again?

Twenty of us going to carvery evening, there will be dancing later.
Then a party at DIL house, which husband and I will forego. We are too old to be coming home at 4am....that shipped sailed many years ago.

Husband and I are going for an Italian meal and a fairly new restaurant in our town, then home and I may try to stay up til midnight, but it's unlikely.
Tomorrow our daughters, their partners and children are coming to lunch

I spent all morning out the house.
First I took the car to the garage for a new reversing bulb to be fitted.
Then drove 30 minutes over to the bigger town nearest to us to visit some settee shops. I was pretty sure what I wanted, having been in 3 shops in our own town yesterday, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any diamonds in the other shops.
But ended up with what I'd originally planned anyway.
Then drove over to IKEA, as wanted to get a few more knives, forks and spoons. Looked at rugs as well, but nothing I liked.
Came back to my town and stopped off at my local parade of shops to visit the charity shops for any reduced Christmas cards. 'Mind' came up clutch and I got 6 boxes of lovely ones for 50% off.
Got home at about 12:50 and exchanged new years greetings with one of the neighbours on the driveway.

As for the evening... It's the one night a year that I do stay up until midnight, watch the fireworks on the telly, and then go to bed. It's been a good year for us, the universe has been kind, so we plan to toast that, then toast the new year as well.

Hosting Christmas for the family did me in. I’m not up for a repeat.

Hubby is in charge of entertaining the kids (and dog) tonight. I’m turning my phone off!

In Vienna- having nye meal at the rathauskeller with DH, sonand GF and 85 year old FIL !!

I’m in bed eating dry crackers and drinking peppermint tea. I’ve got this horrible flu bug that’s doing the rounds which has given me an upset stomach too! DH is downstairs picking at whatever he can find drinking hot Ribena, because he has it too but doesn’t think bed is the place to be, 🙄

Bucks fizz and homemade cinnamon rolls this morning for dh, dcs, and I. No bucks fizz for the dcs as they're only little! I changed all of the beds, because I like to wake up in fresh bedding for the first day of a new year. Took all of the Christmas decs down 28th, so the house is already nice and clean too.
I made a buffet dinner, so we have all been eating far too much ! It is an excuse to eat indulgent food before healthy eating starts 2nd Jan! I think I can safely say I've now eaten enough cheese to last all year!
We've had a shit couple of years, so hoping it'll be a better year. A bereavement of a very close parent end of 2023, a nother relative 2024. Bring on 2025! I just wish I could have my parent back to spend it with. Trying to make the best of it.
