I’m trying not to give any spoilers but I did really enjoy Christmas episode. I’ve just watched it now however I want to know has anybody ever been to a wedding where people have stood up and said that person can’t marry that person because is that just something that happens in films or does it ever happen in real life?

Oh stop crying about spoilers. It aired two days ago and there are even bigger spoilers all over the media.

Either way, as it's been in the papers/online etc for 2 days, you can't complain about spoilers.

I know this may be earth shattering but I don't watch news nor socials. I asked for a spoiler alert in the title. And yes it's two days over Xmas.

You do know people still put spoiler alert up talking about Sopranos?? Manners and courtesy that's what it is! Basic courtesy instead of the spiteful posts on this.

Or just avoid titles/avoid clicking on threads with gavin and Stacey in the title as you're the one 2 days behind

You're asking the majority to pander to the minority. The majority know the outcome, so the minority who haven't 2 days later are the ones who need to make the effort to avoid all media/thread mentioning the program.

It was broadcast days ago. You can't expect what happened not to be discussed just because you haven't watched it.

If I hadn't watched it and didn't want to know, I'd just read ,"After watching gavin.and stacey"... then scroll on. I wouldn't need the "spoiler alert" nonsense as I would figure the title meant the threat referenced gavin and Stacey and certainly wouldn't have posted on it!

All the thread title spoils is the fact there's a wedding. Doesn't say whos or what the outcome is but really it's been everywhere the past few days. I've never watched it but I know what happened there's been so much online.

My friend was a registrar and had it happen three times. Once due to an ex husband declaring he had not divorced his wife, he had and all the paperwork was in order he was just being malicious.
Once was the Border Agency immigration team came in to stop it as they suspected a scam.
Another was the family of the bride didn’t like the groom.
