Good Morning Everyone! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot, before I crack on with my small to-do list. The kittens are curled up under the table, after their breakfast, and the girls are still sleeping, so it's nice and quiet down here 😊

Since they're all peaceful, the first thing I'll do is finish wrapping for the girls & stash those bits, then get dressed & tackle the rest!

Dd1's best friend is calling at some point to collect her gift & visit for an hour, and I'm expecting my dad at some point although haven't heard from him yet this morning. Dd1's leaving with her friend to go and buy a birthday present for dd2 I think.

Hopefully later there'll be plenty of time to chill with my crochet, before we decide what's for tea - not a clue even though the freezer's full!

Early ish nights all round tonight ready for walking into town in the morning to visit the greengrocer and cheese monger 😋 .

Today will be a productive day today, I'm doing the big pre Christmas clean after a lazy day yesterday.
I was up at 5, I've had 2 coffees and so far have cleaned the kitchen and done 1 loaf of laundry.
Need to nip to the shops for crisps and nuts then tonight we're all going to the panto

We went to Sainsburys at 7am to do the last shop for Christmas. It was fairly quiet. We got everything we needed, but the pigs in blankets looked a bit ropey, so I might have to throw them out on the day. I'm now back at home in front of the fire with my cats and a pot of tea.

I'm probably going to start sewing some tops for DM. I did the cutting out yesterday. They are very simple tops, t-shirt style.

DM has just moved into a care home and needs clothes which are easy for her & her carers to manage.

Sitting on the couch in my sister's, babysitting two sick kids while feeling like utter crap myself. ☹️☹️

Luckily she finishes work early today!

I’m about to get dressed and go do a massive food shop. DS said Tesco was manic yesterday morning so I’m hoping it’s quieter today. I need to nip to M&S for a few bits too.

The rest of the day will be cleaning, laundry and some wrapping.

Taking my time this morning as was disturbed by the dog needing a wee at 1 and then DD being sick at 3.

DH is working until about 11, I meeting a colleague as she left her USB at work and I figured she may need it for planning over Christmas. Good job I brought it home.

I will try and do the big Christmas clean today and the final bits tomorrow.

Food was done yesterday.

Have woken up feeling a lot better than yesterday ( grotty sick bug ) so have had some tea and bit of toast.Thankfully most things are done I just need to pop to pottery shop to collect kids painted items then to collect something from smyths and wrap that and that’s it for today I think.

Just had my second coffee of the day sitting in front of the fire. Going to go for a walk shortly with the kids and then come home for some soup for lunch and watch a movie this afternoon. Having a buffet tea tonight so got that to look forward to.

Just had a mince pie for breakfast, then woke DD up for work. While she’s out all day I’m going to do the big Christmas clean, finish off the wrapping while watching a Christmas movie and then I’ve got the big Tesco delivery due at 2-3pm. I’m praying they have everything I need, otherwise I may have to brave the shops this evening.

Just in my first cuppa too! Teens and dog still fast asleep.

Had the big shop delivered last week and today was going to be a quick fresh shop but we got into town early yesterday for DS eye appt and did it then. So I'm going to put a wash on and walk the dog. And they are the extent of my obligations today, winner.

Will read my book this afternoon, an uncharacteristic trashy Christmas easy read. I'm loving just lazing around the house with my uni daughter, after months of not seeing her, hearing all her stories and laughing at daft stuff on tiktok.

Tonight is Home Alone 2, we watched 1 last night. Working our way through our favourites. Bacon butties I think.

I'm on my second cuppa enjoying a lazy morning after early starts for God knows how long.

I'm going to wrap the boys presents this morning before they get up. They're 19 and 21 but I still want to do it when they're not going to suddenly appear and see me with presents all over the table!

I need to brave the supermarket later, we don't need much more than our usual weekly shop but I imagine it will be he'll and that will be just trying to get parked...

Well, myself and oh, did the food shop yesterday, then chilled out, watched a movie, and did some sketching. So today, I need to put a 2nd coat of paint on radiators as didn't manage yesterday. DS1 is a little bit better today, so decided to give him another day in the house and hopefully get to the cinema tomorrow.

Had a nice start to the day with DD before taking her to childcare for party day. I am working from home so hoping to get some more wrapping done in between, DH is at work all day. Going to see my best friend for an hour and then going to brave the supermarket hoping it will be quieter being later on.

Good morning everyone, I was up and out early for my B12 appt at the doctors at 8am this morning. It was bloody freezing on the walk there!

Dh and dd20 are both at work today til just after lunchtime and I need to do a full house clean as it’s a state after me hardy moving a muscle all weekend. When dh gets home from work I’m taking a trip to the cemetery to put flowers on my mum and dad’s grave then will go to Iceland to pick up a load of buffet food for family coming round tomorrow evening. Dd17 wants to make a cheesecake and a Victoria sponge so we’ll get the ingredients for that while we’re out too.

Tea tonight is steak pie (which I’ll make this afternoon), mash and veg then tonight I’ll help dd17 with the cakes then crash into bed early as I’m absolutely shattered and can’t wait for my B12 jab to kick in…

Still in bed after restless night. Everything pretty much done here, so just a bit of a tidy up. Need a memory card thingy for dd's new camera so will have to buy that,but no rush.

Getting ready to go to the hospital for results from my recent operation for cancer.
Would rather be busying myself with wrapping presents and last minute shopping.
Christmas for me this year has been directing everyone else from the sofa 😭
Hoping for good(ish) news today so I can crack on and enjoy Christmas 🎄

Baking day today! DD and I are making mince pies, chocolate log and decorating the Christmas cake.

We're also repairing a couple of fence panels that came down in the wind. 😃

I’m waiting in for new broadband provider to install fast fibre, should be between 8am and 1pm. Then I have some last food shopping to do, dreading the supermarket later.

I was up at 530 with the dog needing a pee then DS shouted me through. He has a temperature and is snotty.

Just had another cup of tea. Need to get dressed and go pick up a few bits. We have eveything nearly. Was hoping to take DS for a haircut put he’s tucked up in bed hoping to get better before the big day.

I still have all the kids stuff to wrap 🙈

Morning everyone, its a bit dull here today. I’m off to a meeting at the gurdwara soon, its the last one before we start making christmas food, the parcel deliveries all go out at 11:15, so we have to wait for that to be cleared so we can get everything set up before we start food prep.

I'm just about to get the slow cooker hot chocolate ready for this afternoon. This morning we are off to a national trust place then when we get back we are watching a Christmas film with aforementioned hot chocolate I'll set it up like a little hot chocolate station and the DC can do squirty cream, marshmallows, candy canes etc. DH and I might have a nip in ours!

Pulled pork tacos for dinner with salad and coleslaw. Then when DC are asleep DH and I really need to get some wrapping done!!

I had my usual breakfast in bed (toasted bagel with cheese spread) and got up early today. My youngest daughter and her toddler arrive later today. I have cleaned the bathrooms and am currently waiting for Morrison's to deliver our order. Several things missing or have unsuitable substitutions (wanted garlic puree, they are sending tomato puree with basil!) so I am very glad this is just a top up order and I already have the things I really need.

Once our order has been delivered and put away I have to go to the hospital for my monthly blood test, then I'm hoping to have time for a short nap in the afternoon before daughter and toddler arrive. Slow cooked roast pork with apple sauce , home-made coleslaw (DH made it - he's a dab hand at coleslaw) and bread rolls for supper so the pork will go in early and will be ready whenever we want it. d

I'm so excited to see them!
