I’ve been unwell for a good 3 weeks
definitely flu as never felt so poorly for so long…had high temp for 10 days and now been left with awful fatigue, smallest things exhaust me. Thought I had turned a corner few days ago but today I’ve been wiped out.
hope everyone feels better soon

DH was blue lighted to hospital on the Monday before Christmas and has spent the days between in a high needs cardiac care unit. He will be home tomorrow, probably with more treatment ahead, but home, alive, and with a plan for rehab.

I have been critical of the NHS but the care DH has had during a long public holiday has been superb, caring and kind, and actually not badly organised. When forced into it, teams can and do work together. It's just a pity they didn't bother for the last 18 months... which might have meant he didn't need to become an emergency. It is not a new situation: DH has been under the care of cardiology for the last 18 years; his file is a foot thick, so it is worrying that they could 'lose' him.

We call it a spread.

It is only served on Christmas night and informal parties.
