Without cheating have a guess which actress this house belongs to. Be kind though. www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/151160714

Even though I'd modernise it to a white / neutral Scandi house I'd still keep that bedroom leopard picture. It would be in the hall and I'd love it every day.

There's a dead dog on one of the beds.😱

Or a dead leopard! The toilet roll holder on photo 35 is worth a mention.

It’s a house full of life and love.

TicTac80 · 16/12/2024 21:22

I love the house and the grounds. Sure, some of the layout is a bit odd and the decor isn't to my taste, but it looks like a home that's been really loved and lived in over the years. :)

Romeiswheretheheartis · 16/12/2024 21:32

I can't get over it's only council tax band E! There are 3 bed semis in my road that are band E.

Yes, you're correct. A dead leopord (isn't that one of those loud, modern musical bands?)

The picture on my phone was not very distinct and so I thought it was one of those woolly dog things that are everywhere nowadays - you know, based on the sort of thing your Mum might knit as a pyjama case.

Nitgel · 16/12/2024 21:40

It's a strange house. Spooky

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 16/12/2024 21:41

Michelle married to mark Wright. Can’t remember her surname

ThePoshUns · 16/12/2024 21:42

Ah yes I can see Julie Good year living there. The estate agent needs to give the photographer a kick up the arse, the photos are awful. Washing on the airee , a half used loo roll. They need to work harder than that for their commission.

ThePoshUns · 16/12/2024 21:43

The second stair case case freaked me out

ThePoshUns · 16/12/2024 21:46

I'd buy the leopard print chaise longue at auction

RunAwayTurnAwayRunAwayTurnAway · 16/12/2024 21:56

I thought Julie Goodyear when I was looking through the pictures and saw some comments agreeing me whilst scrolling to comment.

This listing really shows how bizarre it is that we list properties by number of bedroom in this country. It is an unusual configuration, with the enormous bathroom, but even just taking out the wardrobes could make the dressing room a 5th bedroom. Square metres is the way forward!

I would imagine that whoever buys will be submitting planning permission to convert the stables at the very least.

Lots of you guessed correctly. It's Julie Goodyears house. It's quite fabulous isn't it. Love it when a house reflects someone's personality. Not to many people's taste I shouldn't think but bet (Bet!) she's loved it. I'm curious as to what the things on the sofa are? They look like balloons?

Ha when I saw that leopard print chaise long in the dressing room, I thought it might be her!

healthybychristmas · 16/12/2024 20:44

Oh very interesting! Place marking to see whose it is. Hasn't Rita died?

That's awful saying that. The wonderful Barbara Knox is thankfully alive and kicking.

mumda · 16/12/2024 22:09

It's within one of my Rightmove browsing zones. I'd have it.

Scutterbug · 16/12/2024 22:10

I was about to guess right but I read the replies first! It’s very dated.

Parratha · 16/12/2024 22:13

There will never be another Bett Lynch. She was tremendous.

It's Rochdale council. One of the most expensive council tax charges in the country. I drive past quite a lot.

I'd be hoping and praying that whoever buys it will use the stables for their intended purpose. Brilliant range of outbuildings, I'd kill to own somewhere like that. It would be three times that price round here at least.

oakleaffy · 16/12/2024 22:21

VERY late 1980's.

The stables look a bit run down, and the whole place needs lots spending on it..but 15 acres? That's a bargain!

Same! The stables could be made beautiful. The pastures are a bargain.

It’s a soft toy leopard.🐆🤣

ghostfacethriller · 16/12/2024 22:33

Really like and miss the 90s rustic, soft floral, lots of pine furniture style. I prefer it to the awful mortuary style decor that's prevalent in houses of all types now. I'm not so keen on the leopard stuff - or the carpets in bathrooms and kitchen, but otherwise it looks lovely. No idea whose it is, though!
