A lot of posters seem to think that LGB and the Tq+ are similar. They are not. LGB fall under sexual orientation, the trans queer fetish brigade fall under gender. Gender and sex no longer mean the same. A lot of people are now believing transpeople are the real homophobes as they prefer to "trans the gay away".

Because gay and lesbian football fans have experienced widespread abuse within the game, both as fans and players. Gay male players are largely in the closet. Gay fans (male and female) are not welcome at games. Justin Fashsnu's story looms large. There's a huge way to go.
This simply isn't true of other groups being listed here. It is a football-specific issue and it's disheartening to see so much whatabouttery on this board.

What a strange defense - gay fans are not welcome at games. How on earth do the ticket sellers and associated staff at football matches know if people are gay? Is there a compulsory sexuality disclosure before you can be admitted to the match?

Also the shirt sponsor that he wears is a tech company - he didn’t say others shouldn’t wear it or that it shouldn’t be promoted in the grounds simply that he wouldn’t wear it - and he wears nothing in the games that link to those sponsors

Unfortunately I think T are doing a lot of harm to LGB for people who can't separate the groups in their head. I fully support LGB. I used to support T until I realised how little they actually value women's rights and opinions. And of course not all trans people fall into this category but the overwhelming messages coming from the group have been intolerant, aggressive, extremist and nasty. Which is so hypocritical for those demanding everyone 'be kind' to them. I feel for the decent trans people who will be tarred with this brush by those who can't differentiate between individuals and the loudmouthed voices speaking for the community.

I thought those in the team who did wear the Pride strip looked a tad uncomfortable TBH. That was the pic in the link. Just shows everyone is entitled to their views but when they are forced upon you it becomes a problem. I doubt any of them are blatantly homophopic either, it's just like being told to wear certain shoes only at school. But they are not children, and Pride is political IMV, so it should never have happened in the first place.

All those "ally" badges/lanyards/clothes are meaningless if they are compelled. It's great that people who positively support the cause want them. But non-wearing doesn't equate to active hostility or phobia. It could be disinterest privacy, or any kind of personal conflict or religious belief.
