Honestly, what is wrong with people nowadays? Am I imagining it or has the manner in which we treat each other drastically declined.

I find myself frequently either having to stand up for myself of trying very hard to overlook and ignore the crappy behaviour of others.

Maybe I'm just in a menopausal fug. Have others noticed a general decline in how people treat each other? Or is it just me getting unnecessarily more bothered about things.

Ummm still sounds like you are blaming immigration to be honest.

Its simply a fact that cultural norms change with immigration.

There's a big difference between culture shifts and basically blaming immigration for rudeness and crime which it seems you're doing. We clearly have very different views of things.
The people who are the most unkind, most challenging and most rude in my local area are without a doubt the British white men. They are also the ones in my area who commit the local crimes.
Then they blame everyone else for their crappy lives.

Indeed, @Mylifeisamesssuchamess - one of the worst holidays I had was in Cornwall. The rudeness and hostility was unbelievable. All from white locals.

Alongside all the negative trends as discussed in this thread, I think it is important to notice all the lovely people too. My day-to-day experience of most people is still courtesy and kindness. Shopworkers, tradesmen, neighbours, delivery people, almost all of them in my daily experience are just nice and want to be helpful.
And when my dad went through his terminal illness over many months this year, the NHS ward staff and, later, the nursing home staff were without exception compassionate and kind. They were people from many different countries, all arriving here to help us do our care work, and they treated my dad with such gentleness and respect - and were kind to us too.

We appear to have adopted a winner/loser attitude. And for people to win, someone has to lose. Beat you to that table in Pizza Express, even though it was empty? High five! We’re winners, you’re losers. This attitude is now so prevalent, we’ve lost the art of compromise so everyone is happy. Winners and losers. Thoroughly depressing.

Shows on tv that reinforce that attitude don’t help either. The Traitors, I’m a Celebrity etc.

There are many factors at play but of course mass immigration and multi culturalism will have an impact. It’s inevitable that a less homogeneous society will have less community cohesion. You don’t have to deny all the downsides of immigration to be in favour of it, just acknowledge that you think the price is worth paying.
