"He brushed past me at the checkout, and touched my bum with his waist and penis and laughed and said “oooh you liked that didn’t you”," she said.

--
When she started fastening his bow tie, she says she noticed his trousers were "partially lowered". She did not see how this happened. "His pubic hair was on show, where you can see the top part of his penis, and he was wearing no boxers underneath."

--
Sarah says they then went into a lift where he pulled her, and other members of his group, into a group hug. "When doing this, he put his hand on my bottom and groped me. It made me feel gross, it was horrible."

Gregg Wallace faces fresh allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour

One woman says he touched her bottom and another says he pressed his crotch against her while filming.

I'm fed up of seeing his face

PotOfViolas · 03/12/2024 18:13

I assume the person who said they'd rather be alone in a room with GW than Alison Hammond must enjoy this sort of thing. Weird.

It'd make a perfect dartboard though.

Yes!

LaurenAction · 03/12/2024 18:18

If he's so proud of the 7 million that separates him from factory workers he can pay back the BBC/production company for the cost of making the Christmas episodes that won't be aired.

How can you say that childhood sexual abuse is the same as him saying the stuff he's said not to mention running around naked apart from a sock on his penis ? That's what you inferred with your "spreading the problem" comment. Think.

That's not at all what I said! I just said that perhaps if he had got some help it might have helped him see things differently, perhaps less sexualised. I'm in no way defending him. He clearly has a very over sexualised world view and no boundaries.

It's how it came across. There's no way anyone can think how he has behaved is to do with being abused. Millions of people are and I'd say all, except Gregg, don't go on to be sex pests in any way. People who are abused know the pain of that experience, they don't want to inflict it on someone else.

SheilaFentiman · 03/12/2024 18:42

Ugh, those poor women who felt too scared to take it further.

I am pretty sure someone is doing overtime in the edit suite right now to minimise any remaining banter!

I think the Beeb's approach is a reasonable compromise; you don't, that's fine.

I thought what Osman said on TRIE was interesting - that GW might not watch himself back and not understand quite how many of his offensive "jokes" never made the edit.

I think that was the position before the latest allegations.

Stark choice is disappointing the contestants because of utterly trashed viewing figures, or doing the best by them through a postponement and extensive re-editing (taking time to do it well)

There is a correlation between abused and abusers. That's not to say all abused people go on to abuse of course - the majority would never inflict on others what they have suffered. But the correlation exists in a number of cases. That's what I meant. So perhaps if he had sought help he might have realised that his lack of boundaries and his over sexualised world view are abnormal.

Thank you @SheilaFentiman

JawsCushion · 03/12/2024 19:34

Even if you were right, @Zonder GW was told several times his behaviour was wrong and unacceptable.

Yup. And telling someone their behaviour is wrong is going to stop someone like him!

Which makes me think his abuse has nothing to do with it!

If he behaved because of SA and was told, not that's not right, surely you'd listen..

He is like a gift that keeps giving. 7 million will see him thro the rest of his life. Not quite in the Barrymore league yet but heading there.

Thanks for the insights into Masterchef @RainbowZebraWarrior. No wonder you are always doing such amazing stuff on the lovely Christmas Chronicles thread. The blind judging works well on Bake Off. The key point is that only one of the three tasks is judged this way so the judges get to see each contestant in action as well as their final product.

Thanks for the reminder about GW's appearance on Strictly too, @RedToothBrush. As you say, he blamed his early exit on Aliona not liking him, even though she had a fantastic record of getting to the later stages with all her other partners.

Now that so many programmes are made by other production companies, not the BBC, I would like to see the BBC paying more attention to due diligence (hope that's the right term). Masterchef is now a huge business with national versions in many countries and, so I discovered, even a whole business in selling cooking equipment with the Masterchef name. No wonder so many complaints about Gregg Wallace fell on deaf ears. There are just too many people vested in the status quo.

Allegations from his autobiography's ghost writer

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14158925/Gregg-Wallaces-ghostwriter-claims-star-sex-suggestions.html

This is just unbelievably sleazy. He must really think that just because he lost weight and went to the gym, it makes him irresitible.

"He talked about spanking a lot. He also talked about one of his girlfriends on all fours in front of a mirror. He talked in incredibly sexual detail, which at the time it was just so shocking because it was completely unnecessary for the book.'

Ms Kyle said on one occasion, Wallace opened the door to his flat 'completely naked, except for a towel around his waist'. She claims that he said he had just got back from the gym and had a shower and that she should go into the living room.

While waiting on the sofa, she claims that Wallace then returned in the towel and that his trousers were folded behind the cushion she was next to.

'Then I kind of looked up and then he dropped the towel,' she said.
Ms Kyle was asked whether the towel dropping could have been an accident, but she replied 'definitely not'.
'I felt quite vulnerable because I'm on my own in a flat with a man. He's naked,' she added.
Ms Kyle claims that she had signed a non-disclosure agreement before agreeing to write the book for Wallace.
The author said she was 'worried about losing the job' so she decided to 'try and push through', adding: 'It was just really revolting."

and

"At a separate meeting during a restaurant meal, Ms Kyle claims that Wallace made sick sexual jokes, including: 'If you won't let me sleep with you, would you like my [anus]?'
Ms Kyle added: 'And after rejecting his advances, he said I “should keep an open mind and he'd keep his k*clean next time”.
While eating dessert, she claims Wallace said: 'What would you think if I put some of the Eton Mess you're eating on my willy, then?'
In a slew of accusations, Ms Kyle also claims that Wallace asked her to kiss him by whispering in her ear. She said she was driven to tears."

Yuk.

Gregg Wallace's ghostwriter claims he 'made sex suggestions'

Shannon Kyle, who wrote Wallace's 2012 memoir Life On A Plate, claims the BBC star answered the door in just a towel, which he later dropped.
