I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot, in silence. The kittens are darting about like loons upstairs, after following me down 🙄

Dd1's already left for work, she finishes at 5:30.

I'll see if dd2's awake shortly to have a mooch into town with me.

One of our local market buildings has recently been done up & there's a festive market taking place there today so I thought it'd be nice to have a look and see what's on offer, as well as nosey at the building.

After that, we'll either head to the outlet for a wander, or come home, via B&M to see what tinsel they have and if they have any ceiling decorations. Depends how much can be arsed we have!

Not a clue what's for tea yet - should look in the freezer really! I haven't cooked properly all week 🙈. Then it'll be an hour with my crochet church, and bed for me 💤💤

I’m having a coffee in bed whilst the kids young teens) indulge in some PlayStation downstairs.
Off to take youngest to swimming lesson in 20mins, then supermarket on way home.
Need to ‘face the ex’ this pm to retrieve my belongings - separated this summer after 5yrs. I think I’m ready, but a bit nervous! 😬

This pm I’ll probs do some drawing with the kids or play some games (eldest will probs be out with mates tho).

Like you I’ve done no proper cooking all week… so maybe lasagne for dinner, and some Saturday night TV with the kids under a blanket together 🥰.

Some laundry & housework peppered throughout the day (obvs 😢).

Was up at silly o clock to take DD to the yard but she's not well enough so that's scuppered all my plans for today as I was going into the city to finish my Christmas shopping. Won't be doing that now. DD still in bed, think DH is going to put the Christmas lights up outside as it's dry here today. Not too sure what to do with myself now...

DD due to go to her dads tonight so will see if I can move my shopping plans to tomorrow. Will still need to pop out to find something for tea tonight though. Then Strictly and an early night.

Feel very discombobulated! DD is rarely ill and never to the extent she doesn't feel up to riding so I'm a bit worried!

I'm nursing a rather large hangover, went to a gig last night. My head is banging and I've lost my voice, absolutely amazing night though!!

Oh is putting up our outside Xmas nights today and I need to pop to the shops and pick up the FNAF Funko advent calendar for my daughter.

First things first though, multiple cups of tea and a bacon sandwich!

Good morning, we’re all going swimming very soon.

My husband wants to go and see wicked, so we persuaded his cousin to have the kids so we can make a proper day and night of it, so once we’re finished swimming he is going to come and take over. So we’ve booked a hotel, we’re going to do a bit of island hopping before going to the cinema.

Well is tree day isn't it? Just drinking a mocha then it will be up in the lift to get the delivery out. Down to Waitrose to pick a tree then Christmas films and music whilst we start the inevitable 6-8 hour slog of decorating the house. Followed by cleaning afterwards.

Just had a coffee and porridge and hoping the caffeine will give me the energy to get on with doing a few more bits of decluttering my kitchen. Have got a new tumble dryer arriving this afternoon so we’re going to have a cozy day in today and I will spending my afternoon washing all my sheets and towels to go in the dryer. Not sure what my life has come to that I get excited about white goods arriving - possibly need to get out more.

Tea will be Spaghetti Bol watching Strictly with DD12.

Currently waiting for DS to finish with swimming whilst sat in the cafe with a Chai. I've been away this week and my body clock is very messed up so I'm running on fumes today!

There's a small soft play in this leisure centre so we're heading there after swimming for the kids to burn off (more) steam and kill time. Then we have 2 birthday parties pretty much back to back, one with soft play and one with bouncy castles, and then grocery shopping because I forgot to book a Tesco slot, so DS will definitely be worn out at the end of the day!

Not sure what I'll make for dinner. The takeaway thread from last night opened my eyes and I realised I REALLY have to cut back, so I'm on a mission to go cold turkey. Maybe pasta with lentil bolognaise and lots of cheese? Then I'll save half the mix for some kind of cottage pie tomorrow. Feeling very domesticated all of a sudden!

It's tree day here too! Been up since silly o'clock with the puppy (he wont sleep past five no matter what time he goes to bed, worse than a toddler!!) so have been cleaning in anticipation of throwing tinsel everywhere. Am off my tits on caffeine and if DH doesn't wake up soon so I can have a shower (Pupster will howl if I leave him and wake up the whole house) it may result in a divorce scenario.

Good morning everyone. Just me up in our house so it’s lovely and peaceful. I’ve turned the dishwasher on and wiped down the kitchen and that’s all that needs doing housework wise today as I’ve kept on top of it this week. I need to wash dd10’s uniform but that’s it.

As usual dh and dd20 are both up and out to work and dd17 and dd10 are both still asleep - dd10 was out with me til 10pm last night as I went to my sisters for wine and Chinese takeaway and she wanted to come with me. I’m regretting the wine a bit this morning but I was celebrating getting a job offer yesterday after being made redundant earlier this month! I have one less thing to worry about now!

So today’s plan is to put the Tesco shopping away - its due in around an hour - then once the girls are awake it’s time to get into the loft and get the tree and Christmas decorations down and get it all put up today. I’m so looking forward to it.

Tonight we’re having a beige, easy tea of southern fried chicken, chips and corn on the cob then dh is off to the pub and the 3 girls are going to the cinema to watch Moana 2 and I get the evening to myself so plan to get some nice snacks, a hot chocolate and watch a Christmas film.

I'm dying from cocodamol* as I've torn my rotator cuff. DH has taken DD(2) swimming lesson and I'm still on sofa trying to gird myself to tidy up/get dressed/function.

I guess we'll go into town, buy stamps and food, see MIL and I'll sleep abit.

*as in woozy, nauseous and dopey

Im actually up, letting dh get a lie in in peace. Had tea and toast already.

We've got a lovely day planned and I'm so excited.

I've been up for about an hour with our youngest we've just been playing and having breakfast. Got a uniform wash on of course aswell!

Later on this morning we are off to the "big city" to look at Christmas lights, my teens want to buy some things they want for Christmas (that they'll then give to me to wrap and hide away 😂). Our little ones will enjoy the lights etc and we are getting tea out. We are going on the train which for some reason makes it all the more exciting!

Will be a late one for bed, hopefully the little ones don't fall asleep on the way home 😱.

Then a well deserved glass of wine with DH when DC asleep. Although I'm debating opening the Christmas baileys already but trying to hold out until December!

Good morning @lucysmam and followers, all’s quiet here apart from the distance sounds of a pheasant shoot that put an early stop to my morning dog walk, the poor pooch is utterly terrified of gunshot, thunder etc.
So I have emptied the dw, put away a grocery delivery, done the ironing and tidied the kitchen.
Jacket potatoes with tuna and sweetcorn mayonnaise for lunch, I might make a bread and butter pudding for afters 😋
I want to get on with making a practice pad for embroidery stitches first, then I will do a bit more of a cross stitch I started yesterday but I need to find my magnifying thingy first, and I will probably do some needlework later.

Good morning Lucysmam and others. I'm another ready for cocodamol for osteoarthritis in my hip. It's having a flare up. Not the best night but I've had two coffees and a slice of raisin bread. The washing is on, dishes done and surfaces emptied, ready for Christmas decorations. I'm about to head out for second breakfast with a friend at the local garden centre where I'll also pick up a wee tree in a pot for outside. Then I'll make a steak casserole in the slow cooker. The rest of the day will be washings (one on) and housework. Enjoy your day all.

Sitting in bed, have had a cup of tea and done some Christmas shopping.

My kids are all turning up at lunchtime and will go to the pub with them later so looking forward to that but I also need to have a run and do some studying today, so just pondering timings.

@Decafflatteplease ~ pro tip, by this evening it'll be December in Australia, so technically you'd just be working on exotic international time zones 😌

DIY here. I'm sitting around posting on mumsnet while I wait for DH to get out of bed so we can go out and pick some things we need and then I can get on with stuff. I've considered asking him to get up but to be fair an hour either way won't make much difference.

Tree day here too! Just having some toast in the conservatory while DS enjoys a few more minutes on his switch. Then ready for gymnastics, home for lunch and decorating the house. Slow cooker chilli, Strictly and a few reds in front of a roaring fire 🔥

I'm trying to book cinema tickets for Wicked later and it's driving me mad! I've bought vouchers through blue light so it's a little more complicated and it keeps going wrong. I might make a coffee and try again.

Going to see Wicked later (hopefully!) and I'm going to have an hour at the gym. I'm doing the tree next weekend, it still feels too early for me.

Up early as a roofer was coming to do some repairs but he cancelled so I could stayed in bed 😠 but I have used the time to check in for our New Year's trip to Marseille 😁

DH is working this morning. I'm meeting a friend to go to a local Christmas Market where I doubt I'll find anything.

If I'm back in time I'll buy a tree from the community centre across the road, otherwise it can wait until tomorrow. I don't normally go this early, in fact I wasn't going to bother with a tree at all, but I'm definitely feeling it this year and we've got our street switch-on tomorrow.

Big local charity quiz night tonight which should be fun. It's BYO but they provide a hot buffet.

Morning! DH’s turn for a lie in so been up with kids all morning, we baked the cinnamon rolls I had prepared last night for breakfast.
Going to a Christmas fayre soon, then into town for some lunch, Christmas shopping and a tree.
DC wants to watch the polar express today, so that’s for the afternoon.
Waiting for the hello fresh box to arrive to see what recipe we feel like for dinner.
