He's driving over on Wed. I am writing a list. Xmas crackers, cream crackers/biscuits for cheese, Wheat Crunchies, naice stuffing....It's likely to be the big Tesco he will go to.

No meat or dairy allowed in these post Brexshit years unfortunately, though last time we went I smuggled a crackling pork joint and some scotch eggs in my case. 😚

RandomMess · 25/11/2024 19:53

Any particular sweets or crisps?

LurkingFromTheShadows · 25/11/2024 20:02

No dairy? Oops. I brought back quite a few Christmas chocolate treats when I was there in October 🫣

MissAmbrosia · 25/11/2024 20:06

Choc should be OK - it's the fresh stuff that is not allowed. Belgium does not consider Cadbury's worth of sale :)

I still have an Xmas pudding from last year which I forgot about.

Mincemeat

We popped to Belgium and back at the weekend. No one checked our car in either crossing...

Danikm151 · 25/11/2024 20:11

All the Cadbury. Fizzy pop as in proper old school cherryade, limeade and orangeade.

RobinEllacotStrike · 25/11/2024 20:12

A whole takeaway curry, frozen and in a cold box for his first night back. Vegan if you’re feeling anxious about the new rules, meat if you’re feeling brave and can hide the cold box under some blankets.

Crabbies alcoholic ginger beer, monster munch crisps and galaxy minstrels.

Have now totally outed myself to anyone who knew me when I lived in France 😂

My DSus would be after the Ferrero Rocher.

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 25/11/2024 20:24

Who'd want Cadbury's if they lived in Belgium! Confused

Tea. Mince pies.

NigelAdjacent · 25/11/2024 20:25

i usually flaunt the rules and bring a pork pie and a pack of decent bacon back 😳

MitochondriaUnited · 25/11/2024 20:26

Christmas cake?

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 25/11/2024 20:27

Suet. Then you can make proper mincemeat 😋

TobaccoFlower · 25/11/2024 20:28

Send him to Marks or Waitrose. He'd find nice stuff there.

OP lives in Belgium! Best chocolate in the world, taking Cadbury over to Belgium should be a crime.
