PollyMumsnet · 21/11/2024 08:14

Hello bargain lovers,

Black Friday is just over a week away (its official date is the 29th November) and most retailers have already started slashing prices. Today Amazon have launched their Black Friday sale and the deals are coming in thick and fast.

We thought we’d set up this thread so we can share the best savings our expert deal hunters find - and we’d love for you to share your biggest discounts and best buys here too.

Whether you’re ticking off your Christmas list, shopping for home essentials or looking to treat yourself, we’ve got you covered.

MNHQ get early access to Black Friday deals from a whole heap of retailers, and we’ve been busy cross-referencing the best deals with products Mumsnetters recommend most highly - from air fryers to LEGO, and heated throws to vacuum cleaners - so we can bring you the genuinely valuable savings (and leave out the rest). We’ll be updating this thread all week with the latest deals as they happen.

We’re also comparing prices on camelcamelcamel where possible, to ensure the offers are authentic and as good as they seem.

We know not everyone loves Black Friday, but if you’re looking to snap up a bargain during the biggest sale event of the year, you’re in the right place.
If there’s something specific you’re shopping for, post your requests here and our dedicated team of bargain-hunters will be on the case.

💸 Todays’ top Black Friday deals on Mumsnetter-approved products:

Happy shopping,
MNHQ 💐

Note: Mumsnet has some affiliate links, so purchases through our posts may earn us a small share (more details here). Recommended deals might get linked for user convenience. Prices are accurate when posted.

Robot vacuums any deals out there?

Hiya @NotPennysBoat

I can't see any discounts on the AirTags as yet. The four-pack seems to be the best-value bundle (£94 vs £20 each) to buy.

If you're in the market for another Apple device, lookout for Apple's Black Friday sale next week as they're offering a free £160 gift card when you buy select products so you could use that to buy a few AirTags.

I use them on holiday with my kids - got these wristbands for them to wear. Great for additional peace of mind when out and about!

Hi @PurpleSkittle

I have it on good authority (from a MNHQ colleague with a gamer at home) that these are worth a look!

Razer is a good brand, and this looks like a good deal on a wired headset: Razer Kraken V3 - Wired USB Gaming Headset (55% off)

This controller has good reviews and is a bargain price: PDP Wired Controller Ion White for Xbox Series X|S (28% off)

This is a bit more expensive from Razer but it's 50% off: Razer Wolverine V2 - Wired Gaming Controller

Hope that helps!

OldTinHat · 22/11/2024 09:52

@BeccyMumsnet I also have one of those projectors and echo what @HiggledyPiggledy33 said, especially regarding the speakers. I've had mine for 7yrs and only used it once!

RachMumsnet · 22/11/2024 09:52

Loadsa deals by the looks @Beachcomber74! My colleague has put together this roundup to highlight the best offers:

Any good deals on single drawer air fryers?

RachMumsnet · 22/11/2024 10:17

Hi @atomicnotsoblonde

The Bosch SMV6ZCX10G dishwasher is a great buy if it fits your space? It's down to its lowest price ever (£729 from £820) and is the #1 pick in our guide to the best integrated dishwashers.

A couple of cheaper options:

Hotpoint Maxi Space Integrated Dishwasher (£100+ off, now £368) from Appliances Direct

Hisense HV523E15UK Fully Integrated Slimline Dishwasher (£144 off, now £275) from AO

On the washer dryer front, these both feature in our guide to the best integrated washer dryers and are currently on sale for Black Friday:

Hoover H-WASH/DRY HBDOS 695TAMCE-80 Integrated Washer Dryer (28% off, now £469) from Amazon

Beko WDIK854421F Integrated Washer Dryer (£10 off, now £429) from John Lewis

What's the best integrated dishwasher 2024? Find out here | Mumsnet

Hi any deals for well-rated laptops for a Year 7 pupil please?

PullTheBricksDown · 22/11/2024 10:28

Looking for deals on dehumidifiers. I've seen there is a Challenger one on page one, but wondered if there were others. Especially Meaco which posters on here always recommend. Ta!

RachMumsnet · 22/11/2024 10:39

Hi @p2312

@TigerRag flagged that there's a Black Friday sale on at Dreams 👀

Looks like there are some good bundle deals on offer (up to 40% off) for a bed frame + mattress with lots of king-size beds included. Cheapest I can see is £928 for the Sleepyhead Bundle (was £1478).

Dunelm is promoting 30% off Silentnight mattresses at the mo. And the John Lewis Black Friday sale on homeware is already live with 20% off bedroom furniture.

Chersfrozenface · 22/11/2024 10:46

Any other bargains in heated throws?

The Mia and Coco one on Amazon is only £36 pounds in the smallest size and in grey (yeuch, depressing in winter). Bigger ones in other colours are more expensive.

RachMumsnet · 22/11/2024 11:01

Hi @RumNotRun

I can vouch for this one from Breville (not a Black Friday deal but a decent price at £29). Easy to use, fairly compact, keeps coffee warm for a while (although sometimes not long enough IMO!).

The De'Longhi Filter Coffee Machine is half-price at Argos (now £25) and gets good reviews.

This one from Cuisinart looks nice (available in black and white) - now £33

Mumsnetters rate the Melitta brand for good brews. This one's quite pricey at £185 but there's £29 off. And it features a coffee bean grinder and different strength settings.

BeccyMumsnet · 22/11/2024 11:31

MiseryIn · 21/11/2024 23:32

I'm going to be after a new TV.
43" ideally.

Ours is making everything look strangely blue 🥶

Good morning @MiseryIn - depending on your budget, there are a few discounted in the sales already on Amazon:

Toshiba 43”UV2363DB 4K Smart VIDAA TV, was £237, now £199

PHILIPS 43PUS7009 4K LED Smart TV, was £249, now £209

Samsung 43, was £599, now £377

Although with that said, it looks like there are bigger discounts available from Currys at the moment, including these:

SAMSUNG DU7100 43 inch Crystal UHD 4K HDR Smart TV, was £379, now £259 (save £120)

HISENSE A6N 43 inch LED 4K HDR Smart Freely TV, was £429, now £229 (save £200!!) - this also has Amazon Alexa already installed if you use it?

LG 43LQ60006LA 43 was £250, now £199 (save £51)

HTH 💐

MissCherryCakeyBun · 22/11/2024 11:47

After a toastie maker after ours mysteriously jumped out of the cupboard broke its hinge and hobbled back in 🙄 preferably with removable plates and a floating hinge so DH can toast the absurdly thick bread he cuts

BeccyMumsnet · 22/11/2024 11:55

Thisiswhathings · 22/11/2024 06:23

Looking for a mobile phone around £200

For a new phone around that price you're looking at an Android device @Thisiswhathings (which personally, is my favourite type...)

Argos have some offers? They do same day collection and/or delivery depending on what time you order which is handy!

The first two have the biggest storage size (albeit not huge savings on these ones)

SIM Free HONOR 200 Lite 5G 256GB AI Mobile Phone, was £200, now £180

SIM Free HONOR Magic 6 Lite 5G 256GB Phone, was £220, now £200

But if you love Samsung, these are worth a look and have bigger discounts:

SIM Free Samsung A25 5G 128GB Mobile Phone, was £250, now £180 (£70

SIM Free Samsung A16 5G 128GB Mobile Phone, Phone, was £200, now £170

All are sim free so you can use whatever network provider you like.

BeccyMumsnet · 22/11/2024 12:01

Acunningruse · 22/11/2024 07:05

Looking for mens air force 1s (original style) if anyone has seen any discounts, thanks

I'll be honest I'm not exactly sure which ones are the "original" style but I've managed to find these deals for you? Hopefully one matches what you're looking for @Acunningruse

Nike Air Force 1 JD Jewel, was £120, now £90

NIKE Men's Air Force 1 '07 Basketball Shoe, these are various prices depending on the size. What size are you looking for in particular? Not huge savings on them, to be honest over on Amazon.

Finally, spotted these: Nike Air Force 1 Trainers White, was £110, now £85

Will continue looking for you!

BeccyMumsnet · 22/11/2024 12:04

HiggledyPiggledy33 · 21/11/2024 23:00

I did have one of those projectors that you can use to watch films in bed - never got past 10 mins into the film before falling asleep!
Still, it was a nice idea, but the sound of the fan was often louder than the film. Needed a separate speaker or headphones.

Thank you, this is good to know. If anything gives me more of a reason to look at an actual TV instead 😅

BeccyMumsnet · 22/11/2024 12:06

Sarara89 · 22/11/2024 07:32

Hi! Can you please help me find a budget friendly heated airer?

Hey @Sarara89 I've pulled in a colleague to help me with your request as she's our heated airer pro at MNHQ!

She says: "re budget heated airers, I've seen ok MN reviews for the Dunelm and Argos own-brand ones, which are both discounted" 😄

HTH 🌸

BeccyMumsnet · 22/11/2024 12:18

Hello @Funinthesun01! This is what I've found for you...

Chanel No 5, you're in luck. John Lewis has the biggest saving on the 100ml bottle, down from £145 to just £116. Although, if 100ml is too big - Boots have the 35ml reduced from £75 to £60.

Paco Rabanne's One Million is reduced at Argos (who have same day collection or delivery depending on your location) - down from £81 to £65 for 100ml!

And finally for your Macbook case... Thule's cases regularly crop up on our Talk boards but sadly they're not in any sales that I can see just yet! Currys have this one for example.

BeccyMumsnet · 22/11/2024 12:26

wohmum · 22/11/2024 08:58

Dos anyone have a link for a decent silk pillowcase?

Now, I'm hesitant to share one with you from Amazon because our team have discovered recently that they're not always fully silk like they claim to be... So personally, I reckon spend a bit more on a quality one, like this one:

John Lewis Organic Mulberry Silk Standard Pillowcase, was £45, now £31.50 - various colours available

Psychoticbreak · 22/11/2024 12:36

Thermomix TM6? Or a really good and cheap dupe I am looking for!

Lentilweaver · 22/11/2024 12:37

wohmum · 22/11/2024 08:55

Snap!!

Same!

BeccyMumsnet · 22/11/2024 12:39

Beachcomber74 · 22/11/2024 09:18

Robot vacuums any deals out there?
TVM

Oooh robovacs are our speciality! I personally own the eufy 15c but it doesn't look like they're selling that anymore. There's a deal on the newer eufy L60 Robot Vacuum Cleaner - was £250, now £160 that has mapping tech which I definitely recommend getting.

ZZoya303 · 22/11/2024 12:54

BeccyMumsnet · 21/11/2024 18:00

👋hello everyone! My colleague's passed the baton on to me for the evening ahead...

If there's anything specific you're on the lookout for, do let me know and I'll take a look at what I can find for you. In the meantime, I'll be sharing posts with some of the best deals so far from different retailers.

Please feel free to also share a bargain if you find one for others on the thread 🙏

Ps - on a personal level, does anyone have one of those projectors that you can use to watch your telly on your ceiling while in bed? If so, would you recommend it?

We've been using CineMood for over 8 years now, brilliant at home and on holidays, very compact and good sound. I am not sure they still exist though, but if you find them, definitely worth investing in it - when kids were little I used it for the fairytales, before introducing to cartoons, and even now they still like it playing on the background sometimes.

On the request side, any idea if now is a good time for a trampoline? Our 10 feet died this summer after a long and busy life, looking for a new one. Thank you!
