NHS backed pay rise

Just wondered if anyone has received their backdated NHS pay rise in their October pay. If so, how bad were all the deductions? We are getting ours in November pay, I was hoping it'd help for Xmas but it looks like with pension, student loan, tax and NI increase I'll be very disappointed.

Have we lost interest on our pensions? I know it wouldn’t be a lot in the grand scheme of things but if that money had been in our ‘pots’ since April would it have grown in that time?

It's not a pot though. You are guaranteed 1/54 of your annual salary as an annual pension for each year you are paying in.

That's the 2015 scheme

I'm an 8a mid point now and got just over a thousand pounds. It was nice we were recognised for a mid point pay progression.

what did they deduct?! I’m top of b7 and took home an extra £1,000. I definitely noticed it.

Student loan, pension, NI usual stuff

didnt feel it! Maybe I need to look into it

I paid off my student loan so maybe that’s the difference, but that’s a big difference.
