Looks like Trump could win?

Kittykat86 · 06/11/2024 03:49

It's looking good for Trump. My dad is a total Trump hater and has been convinced that he won't win, especially since Kamala took over.
I don't know how the system works but is it too early to say that Trump is going to win?

Is that all you are fucking fixated with and they say trump fans are in a cult it seems those anti trans are also in a cult

So not sterilising kids is anti-trans?

The media likes to talk about things like abortion and how dreadful Trump is because that is entertaining. Inflation and food prices are rather dull but it is hardly surprising that they have a massive impact on voters. Unlike the looney Trump fan image , I think a lot of American’s are quite pragmatic when it comes to voting and Trump polled higher on the economy.

I doubt women in the US think the abortion laws now being implemented are ‘entertaining’.

Dear Americans.

Thank you for trying to put a stop to the mutilation and sterilisation of kids.

Yours Alison. Not speaking for anyone else. Because that is totally unhinged.

Dear whoever it may concern

Not happy being called a right wing thick racist woman hater. Or being told who to vote for by billionaire celebs. I'll make my own mind up thanks.

What did you expect him to do? Genuinely?

Will be interesting to see how Starmer tries to handle Trump…
Lammy had some choice comments about Trump of course.

Say what you like about Farage, he’s shrewd enough to pick a winner.

How long until the first cabinet reshuffle......

Dear Americans

What the fuck is wrong with you?

Sincerely,
Everyone in the whole world

yes that's it in a nutshell. You can lie sexually abuse ( allegedly ha ha) be convicted of crimes and abuses of powerful but hey ho let's just vote him in again anyway. I think the average American must be a sandwich short of a picnic. Scary times!

whathaveiforgotten · 06/11/2024 08:40

@AlisonDonut

amp.cnn.com/cnn/2024/11/03/health/texas-fetal-demise-propublica

"Texas’s abortion ban threatens prison time for interventions that end a fetal heartbeat, whether the pregnancy is wanted or not."

Just one of the women dead. Trump's policies will directly contribute to many, many more.

Yet you gleefully (that is absolutely the right word for your tone) talk about how you'll 'enjoy every last fucking minute' of people being devastated about this presidency?

whathaveiforgotten · 06/11/2024 08:42

@ChallahPlaiter

I'm still left wing. Just not loonie left wanting kids sterilised and mutilated. Or rapists in female jails. Or women punched in the ring by men.

How do you square this with actively celebrating a rapist in the White House, in arguably the most powerful position in the world?

Or do you honestly believe that all the allegations of sexual assault and rape against him are false?

Sorry @ChallahPlaiter this was very much to @AlisonDonut

biscuitandcake · 06/11/2024 08:44

@whathaveiforgotten remember the Internet isn't real life there will be people who voted for Trump for rational reasons even if we don't agree. The haha hah liberal tears type exist online more than anywhere else
And I've said it already but I'll say it again it's weird because they don't even seem particularly happy with the win just worked up on the idea that Internet strangers hate them and imagining said strangers being sad.

@Noisylass You have been on here telling people to "fuck off" that poster called you dumb as a rock and now you call them scum.

I love the nuance and subtlety of debate on here, it's why I stick around

Edited

I lowered myself to the PP’s level - my bad.

I am back on message.

@Rosscameasdoody - haven’t seen much breakdown yet but I’m presuming that women didn’t overwhelmingly support her or at least not sufficiently enough to counter men supporting him?

Peregrina · 06/11/2024 08:49

He won, he's not eligible to stand next time and even if he wants to bust that he'll be 82 so he may not bother.

He can change the law.
He can also pardon himself from Federal crimes. There is a smidgeon of hope that he might still be jailed for crimes prosecuted under state laws.

It's because the atlernative is much worse.

It's really fucking simple.

Do you know what any of her proposed policies were?

Continuity, for NATO, Ukraine and better rights for women.

But the yanks have made their choice, knowing Trumps idea's and beliefs.

The loons over here will support him, just like Farage or Bojo have their female fans too.

Not what l’m saying. The question was, why was she waiting until after the election to enact her own policies. And the answer is, because she was not the president.

So you are saying she didn’t think they were worth considering until she became president? Or that as VP she failed to persuade her democrate colleagues that they were worthwhile?
