What’s for dinner?

What’s for dinner (or tea) in your house tonight?

We had takeaway last night so thinking we should have something else tonight but want something nice while we watch Strictly. It’s my birthday tomorrow so DH will say my choice but I don’t want to make any more choices so hoping for inspiration here!

Spaghetti meatballs at the request of my three year old!

LittleRedRidingHoody · 02/11/2024 16:53

Nando's before the fireworks 😋

Charcuterie, cheese, dips, crudités ,baguette.

Aka 'picky tea'.

DecafDodger · 02/11/2024 16:53

salmon biryani

BrieHugger · 02/11/2024 16:54

Pub tea with bestie that I’ve not seen for over 6 months. Quite fancy fish n chips or some sort of pie.

Cheepcheepcheep · 02/11/2024 16:55

Hot dogs and wedges and salad (but ‘nice’ sausages not frankfurters) also before heading to the fireworks!

TeddyBeans · 02/11/2024 16:55

Chili con carne for us tonight!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/11/2024 17:00

Veggie lasagne here, with salad and coleslaw. I made the vege sauce earlier and now need to get off my bum and make the cheese sauce, after a very lazy afternoon.

GiddyRobin · 02/11/2024 17:00

Pho! DH picked up rice noodles earlier so now he's busy making a broth. We're going to have it with king prawns and whatever veg we've got lurking. Can't wait, it smells lovely.

Teachymummy · 02/11/2024 17:01

Pizza wedges and coleslaw here!

PrincessHoneysuckle · 02/11/2024 17:01

Lots of red wine olives, antipasti, crackers cheese and pate

OldTinHat · 02/11/2024 17:05

I had an Iceland Chinese pork and noodle thing for lunch - thank you microwave!

If I'm peckish later, it will be a few crackers and some pate.

(And I wonder why I'm constipated!)

LizzieVeraker · 02/11/2024 17:07

We're having Piri piri chicken, red onion, and red pepper kebabs, and rice 😋.

All cooked in a Ninja multi-cooker.

CabraCadabra · 02/11/2024 17:08

Sausage mash and veg

Mumofyellows · 02/11/2024 17:08

Firecracker chicken with rice and spring rolls! One of my fave cheat dinners as hardly ever buy any ready made sauces but these Wagamama stir fry sauces are so quick and easy for a Saturday night dinner in front of Strictly!

CallYourselfAChef · 02/11/2024 17:08

Chicken Jalfrezi and rice, with naan breads

Jungfraujoch · 02/11/2024 17:08

Air fryer curry in a hurry!

bakewellbride · 02/11/2024 17:10

Leftover pumpkin pie

WYorkshireRose · 02/11/2024 17:10

Meatballs and rigatoni pasta here, with a side of tenderstem broccoli. It would have been spaghetti meatballs if I had my way, but neither DH or DS like "long" pasta 🤯

Inextremis · 02/11/2024 17:10

Homemade steak and kidney pie (Delia's recipe) with mash and peas. It's almost ready to go in the oven, but it'd be a bit late for you to start cooking it now as it's taken 3 hours to get to this point!

CocoapuffPuff · 02/11/2024 17:10

Corned beef hash browns, roasted veg (cauliflower, sweet potato, beetroot and potato) and pickled red cabbage.

GoldenPineapple15 · 02/11/2024 17:11

Chilli with rice and tortilla chips - left over chilli from yesterday so no cooking 😀

KlaraSundown · 02/11/2024 17:19

We're going to a nearby market town for a Thai meal with our two teens, then going to see Heretic at their lovely little cinema.

AddictedToBooks · 02/11/2024 17:25

Last night I cooked spicy chicken with peppers and onions and cheese sprinkled on top (basically a fajita without the wrap) and I did vegetable spring rolls and prawn crackers with it.

Tonight it's "Movie & Wine Night" so we'll be having fish and chips from the local chippy.
