As my daughter lifted a pack of chicken breasts, there it lay. Hidden.

Finally!

The list we shouldn't have found...

Am I missing something? Kitchen roll, chicken, mushrooms & anti-histamines?

SocksShmocks · 21/10/2024 15:32

That seems like a pretty standard boring shopping list someone has lost in the supermarket?

Looks like plant feed? At the bottom?

But other than that, erm... I don't get it either!

rainfallpurevividcat · 21/10/2024 15:34

??

Pocketfullofdogtreats · 21/10/2024 15:35

That list wasn't intended for you. Since it doesn't include organic hummus I'm guessing it's a hit list intended for an assassin. As someone else said, put it back and try to forget.

johndeer · 21/10/2024 15:35

Pointless.

appletreeorbanana · 21/10/2024 15:36

Is your name

Kitchen roll, chicken, mushrooms & anti-histamines. Code name plant feed ?

I don't understand

heelander · 21/10/2024 15:36

It's not the contents of the list, it's the finding of someone else's list; we've long been fascinated and perplexed by the notes left in the bottom of trolleys. This one, mysteriously hidden lost amongst the chicken...

Plant food would be exciting. Unfortunately I think is says Plain Flour

twiddlingthumbs69 · 21/10/2024 15:37

It's a list that can only have been written by a psychopath. Get out while you can

BarbadosItsCloserThanYouThink · 21/10/2024 15:37

I'm at a loss as to why this is interesting. I was expecting it to list a mass murderers tool kit, or the items needed for a bdsm den!

Yes, very uneventful shopping list!

gotmyknickersinatwist · 21/10/2024 15:39

Baffled also, unless OP thought 'anti-his' is some kind of cryptic code.

Grepes · 21/10/2024 15:40

I think it’s a throw back from when people found lists in Waitrose with very specific ingredients (thickly sliced ham from Lower Saxony). Unfortunately this is a bog standard list, from what looks like a non-Waitrose supermarket - so a little dull and ordinary!

Hadjab · 21/10/2024 15:40

And this is why I rarely ever venture onto the Chat boards...

ForeverDelayedEpiphany · 21/10/2024 15:40

I'm on a Facebook group which is called 'Other People's Shopping Lists" and includes a lot of much more interesting (and certainly intriguing/mysterious) ones than this. I'll see if I can find an example...

Nothatgingerpirate · 21/10/2024 15:44

Oh dear.
A cuppa, anyone? 🍵 😂

KatyaKabanova · 21/10/2024 15:45

Can someone explain?

Hoppinggreen · 21/10/2024 15:45

Damnloginpopup · 21/10/2024 15:27

Third attempt...I'm in Norfolk though so it's still a slim chance..

I may have to make up something exciting instead after all this suspense...

I think you have Norfolk in chance

EggnogAnd · 21/10/2024 15:46

Could people, for the love of god, try a bit harder? At least write random shit on your shopping list and leave it amid the chicken breasts.

Greek yoghurt
Brillo pads
glow in the dark condoms
handcuffs
Dog chews

Please do. You may be able to make this thread worth opening.

HerbFan · 21/10/2024 15:47

@KatyaKabanova It's just about finding someone else's shopping list. It's a window into their soul, apparently. @Grepes explains it pretty well.

You can imagine who they are and how their evening is about to unfold. Or not, as the case may be.

ObtuseMoose · 21/10/2024 15:47

Well, that was anticlimactic. I'd have written something more interesting myself just to save face.

GameOfJones · 21/10/2024 15:47

KatyaKabanova · 21/10/2024 15:45

Can someone explain?

Some people online like sharing shopping lists they have found. There are Facebook groups dedicated to it (is this the origin of the Mumsnet "naice" ham??

I quite like seeing photos, normally left in trolleys. Under the chicken is a new one!
