Do you have a super king size bed?

How much do you love it?

Ours is being delivered this week, I'm so excited!

What size duvet do you have? And what about long pillows or regular?

Love to hear all about yours!

Two matching single duvets. Best thing ever

Chocbuttonsandredwine · 20/10/2024 20:36

Adore none and now hate sleeping in a smaller bed. Even king size at do’s house feels tiny and annoying

Only have king duvet. Had planned to replace. But getting super king bedding is annoying.

have regular pillows but 6 of.

WimpoleHat · 20/10/2024 20:36

Yes. I slightly regret losing the old king size one, if I’m totally honest. But it’s absolutely fine, although I wouldn’t say I loved it.

FriendlyNeighbourhoodAccountant · 20/10/2024 20:36

I LOVE mine. Will never be without one after this!

We use super king bedding but a lot use two single duvets. We can't, however, seem to find a fitted sheet that fits properly. The 25cm depth ones are slightly too short (even though our mattress is 25cm deep) and the extra deep ones are far too baggy. It's a first world problem but pisses me off.

Super king-size bed, emperor size duvet. It's massive and I love it!

Timetochangenow · 20/10/2024 20:37

Love our super king! We have super long duvet and it’s a pain to change and wish we had two singles like pp but DH won’t change at the moment.

So I should have said I was considering this, how does it work in practice? How do you snuggle in the middle without getting a draft?

Love ours. Had it built extra tall and the amount of storage under it is phenomenal.

Superking size bedding - have had a superking for about 20 years and have never had issues getting Egyptian cotton bedding for it. Have 6 normal pillows - 3x2.

We're moving up from a double so we're really going to notice it too!

It's brilliant. We don't wake each other up at all. Two single duvets is the way to go. The IKEA size ones that are 150cm wide.

doodleschnoodle · 20/10/2024 20:40

Yes I love ours. On the odd occasion we have to stay in a double while visiting family etc. it feels minuscule now!

Isitfridayyetsophie · 20/10/2024 20:41

Yes, it’s brilliant. In an ideal world I’d get an emperor! One day…

I’m not really a fan of the long pillows, I like having a gap. I feel my husband would encroach too far on my side if our pillows touched and I like my own space when I’m asleep. We have super king duvet.

We stayed at a friend’s house in a double bed and I had such a dreadful sleep, I don’t know how couples share a bed that small every night!

enjoy your new bed 🛌

doodleschnoodle · 20/10/2024 20:42

Oh and we have one super king duvet but sometimes DH has his own double duvet as I am a thief. Normal pillows.

Tulip8 · 20/10/2024 20:42

20 years we've been in a double, we're both very large fat too!

We’ve got a king size duvet and it’s absolutely fine but agree with a PP about the sheets! Not sure why but yes extra deep are a bit baggy

If they are biggish singles they overlap so it's no trouble to be together if you want and then apart when you prefer.

Much easier to change the bedding plus no getting wooshed with air in the night when bedfellow turns over! And you cam stick both feet out if they get hot, which is a plus for me.

jumpintheline · 20/10/2024 20:43

Wouldn’t be without it. We have the Emma it’s like sleeping on a cloud ☁️

Barabajagal · 20/10/2024 20:44

We love our superking. Two single mattresses cos DH and I are very different weights and like a different amount of firmness in the mattress but the duvet is superking and the whole setup is supremely cosy especially in winter with brushed cotton bedding. Happy days.

Idontlikeyou · 20/10/2024 20:44

2 Super King beds, 1 each. Super King duvets and King pillows.

It’s usually just me and 2 cats in mine. Bloody lovely. DH has his own room.

magicstar1 · 20/10/2024 20:46

Yes….I love it! We knocked the two tiny spare rooms into one last year and went from a double to a super king bed. We have a double duvet each and it’s perfect!

Lilybetsey · 20/10/2024 20:47

Super king bed all to myself. I adore it Grin also super king duvet and gravity blanket. Absolute joy 😊

Best of both worlds having a partner you (mostly) adore and want to cuddle then being able to turn away and cocoon yourself in your own duvet and space

Lookwhoitisnae · 20/10/2024 20:47

Love ours, big huge silentnight with memory foam mattress so we did need to buy extra deep fitted sheets. We did get a SK duvet and a long pillow but just use our normal pillows.
Its fab, so cosy! Both kids and both dogs can fit on it for snuggles too! The only downside was squeezing it up the stairs!

tuberole · 20/10/2024 20:48

Love. Love. Love it. Although it's only about 30 cm wider than a king it's crazy how much difference it makes. The only downside is how hard it is to sleep in a smaller bed on holiday etc!

SophiaJ8 · 20/10/2024 20:49

Yes, could never go back to anything else
