Recommend me a coastal town in the Uk

...where me and my two besties can sit on a balcony, wrapped up in blankets, sipping wine and over looking the sea.

During the day, we'd love to mooch around a town with lovely little shops, buy some nice things, have a few nice walks, nice food out, stroll on the beach.

Any recommendations around the Uk?!

I live near Deal and walk in every weekend, lovely town with lots of great places to eat.

Definitely Rye (with a walk along Rye Harbour / Winchelsea Beach)

Hastings but make sure you stay in the Old Town, it's amazingly atmospheric.

Agreed. It also has caves!

Hornsea.

(I’m from Yorkshire so tend to visit these east coast towns more).

Staithes (although not sure on balconies overlooking the sea)

Scarborough - North Bay

Robin Hood’s Bay

Filey

Hornsea is worth a visit. Quiet and not too commercialised. Also not too far from Bempton cliffs.

Swanage is exactly what you're looking for.

Chillilounger · 13/10/2024 20:02

North Berwick. Not Whitby.

If you don't mind a trip Ventnor, Isle of Wight.

Come to Falmouth!
