Recommend me a coastal town in the Uk

...where me and my two besties can sit on a balcony, wrapped up in blankets, sipping wine and over looking the sea.

During the day, we'd love to mooch around a town with lovely little shops, buy some nice things, have a few nice walks, nice food out, stroll on the beach.

Any recommendations around the Uk?!

Is this serious? Have you actually been?

Aldeburgh beach is not the best unless you like pebbles. Plus the town is all artisan bakeries and Joules type shops. That might be your thing though.

Looe. Stay at The Watermark in a balcony room.

Yes! I'm in Blackpool right now. I came for a break this week.

I'm really enjoying it! It has a great beach. Lots to do.

Is that Portrush, in Northern Ireland?

I've been there. It's a nice place alright. Great views.

Ah well they should get over class, we are not living in the 1800's.

Blackpool is nice. And it's near to a lot of other nice coastal towns too.

Bring extra blankets. And alcohol.

Emptyandsad · 11/10/2024 23:15

St Andrews is a great shout, or any of the smaller villages on the East Neuk.

Or Lochinver

Bravemama · 11/10/2024 23:16

We've just got back from Ayr and Troon in Scotland. It's been absolutely fabulous!

Everything as you've described on your door step but also the options of castles and lighthouses if you do start to feel adventurous very close by.
Can't wait to go back!

This has annoyed me a bit now .

What's wrong with 'lower class' people.

Should I not speak to someone because their family was not as wealthy as mine?

It could be anyone of us in a bad situation of poverty.

. Any family could have a father walk out on them, any of us could have been poor..

I will never see anyone as less than me or "lower class". If someone's poorer than me I treat them with kindness , not with scorn and nastiness.

Class is a nasty cruel load of bullshit
