I'm drawing a line. Tomorrow is a new start for me. I'm putting myself first for the first time ever.

Things starting from tomorrow:
I'm completely avoiding the news.
No more doom scrolling.
Deleting all social media.
Get back into running.
Stop eating processed crap.
Completely declutter the house.
Start volunteering.
Spend more time walking and gardening.
Try and find a solution for my crippling anxiety.
Stop trying to please everyone.

I think it's the perfect time of year to reinvent yourself and find that confidence again!

I'm doing c25k, struggling to fit the runs in but I'm keeping positive and not just giving up because it isn't going perfectly to plan.

Horse riding sounds fun, when did you last go?

I'm trying to get my head in that space! I have made my list and now just need to get started.
I am very unfit which is putting me off starting exercising although I may enjoy it, I just need to get started. I'm currently scared of my own shadow so anything out of the norm is daunting.

I last went riding last year. Ironically to help my confidence. I used to have horses until I had a very bad fall and really hurt myself so lost my confidence, I gave up riding and my horses went. So I tried again, to find myself crying after each lesson that I wasn't good enough.

I need to build up some confidence and self esteem!

@FFairysteps11 baby steps are the way! Find a community either in rl or online to support you. 10+ yrs ago I had recurrent tonsillitis and wanted to get well, I started exercising as part of getting healthy with a thread on here. My motivation was to feel better after I kept getting ill. If you find your reason, that should help too. Start gently with the exercise and good luck!

Checking in. How is everyone else doing? I have been to the gym 2 days in a row and today I really went for it and got really sweaty! I had a blood test to check my vitamin levels and have started taking supplements for the things I am missing. I have also been to bed much earlier the past 2 nights so I have had more energy and less time to eat junk in the evening.

Hello! Well done. I haven’t been to the gym in October at all. Last time I went my leg felt like it was going to give way. I haven’t now got a shitty cold but feel like it’s been on its way for a couple of weeks now so glad it’s coming out. I have started my course though.

If you do even half of that list, you'll be a new woman in a month, I guarantee it. Its an excellent and wise decision OP. Time to make your own wellbeing your project and hobby. Can I also suggest...sleep as much as you can. Rest without guilt. Make sure you eat the most nutritious foods you can. Try one new thing a month you've never done before, the more random the better. Do something every day that gives you joy and pause in the moment to savour how it feels.

Thank you @Applesandpears23 at least I have no desire to eat the cake currently in the kitchen at work!

@teaandtoastwithmarmite hope you start to feel better soon. It's taken 3 weeks for me to get back to my pre-cold self with exercise.

I have been eating mostly healthily and planning for when dd2 moves out. I did wake up with a horrible headache this morning, but did a yoga for headaches session and I realised it was shoulder tension.
