Best last song for a funeral

After a very serious brush with death (on a ventilator and family told to say goodbye) I thought it best to leave my husband instructions for my funeral. It will be a cremation.
I have a very dry sense of humour and can make an innuendo out of pretty much anything so don't hold back as I want something that will make people smile.
For the last song so far I have Things can only get better and Stevie Nicks Rooms on fire.
Fire away!!

Pop Goes The Weasle...just a shame you wouldn't be there to see the anxious anticipation of everyone looking at your coffin 🤣

My Mum was a bit of a rebel and liked to go against the grain, driving a Clio Sport around like a teenage lad and listening to R&B or Grime loudly as she drove past, so it was no shock to anyone when the final song at her funeral was Missy Elliott "Get Your Freak On", she was nothing if not unique!!

SleepingisanArt · 03/10/2024 16:01

I'm having Queen 'Another One Bites The Dust'.

Went to a very conservative family funeral. Very upstanding members of the community.
Harps, a choir, the whole nine yards.
A beautiful funeral programme.
The final song?
’You Spin Me Round’ by Dead or Alive.
My riotous friend had the last laugh, and I had to go and stand in the vestibule to stop myself from doing the same.

At DH's funeral in June we had Always Look on the Bright Side of Life. It's a bit of a family standard at gatherings.

Don't Fear The Reaper

Travellingraspberry · 03/10/2024 16:29

My friend and I joke about using the Death in Paradise theme tune that kicks in after the murder!

Moonflower12 · 03/10/2024 16:30

@ItGhoul
I literally came on here to say that! Best use of a cowbell ever.

And for a comedy interlude:

Oom-pah-pah from the musical Oliver.

My dad had My Way by Frank Sinatra

I knew someone would come up with this. It has to be the worse funeral song ever. It basically says ‘I didn’t give a toss what people thought because I knew better.’
My father liked this song and he was not a nice person.

Cattyisbatty · 03/10/2024 16:38

Depressing, but Time by Pink Floyd.
