My sausage vanished

Made toad in the hole for tea, put three whole sausages in. Just took it out of the oven and there's only two and a half in the dish. It's not in the dish (I've scraped it out well), not in the oven and I live alone so no spoony fuckers to interfere. Ideas please? I feel like I'm going mad!

(Also please no judging my batter - first time I've used GF flour for this and it didn't go quite right!)

Are you sure it didn't fall apart and it's there but as crumbs?

Could there be someone living secretly in your loft?

I think Keir Starmer might have them… he was demanding their return earlier in the week.

The bits you can see are apple from the sausage and just a few bits. I've honestly been right through the dish with a fork and there's no sausage.

They're buggers, aren't they? I do have three cats but they were shut out of the kitchen until it was safely in the oven (for this exact reason!)

I don't know where the sausage is but the trick to GF Yorkshire pudding is a lot more eggs.

This had two but I'm using Asda GF flour rather than Dove Farm and it behaves totally differently!

Why does your Yorkshire pudding look like scrambled eggs, that's concerning me more?!

I don't know, but for gf yorkshires you can't beat Becky Excell's recipe. It uses cornflour and is amazing!

Yes. Had three left in the pack and they were whole when they went in.

I broke them up getting them out but they were deffo whole when they went in!
