What do we all feel about Phillip Schofield coming back onto our TV screens? He’s posted a status on Instagram to tune in at 9am tomorrow and there are rumours online that he has filmed a show across the pond.

Personally, I think he should come back to do the job he was doing before. Dancing on Ice, This Morning… People compare him to Huw Edwards but they categorically cannot because he hasn’t been convicted of anything….

This is going to create a divide of opinions I know….

What message does it send to victims of grooming and sexual abuse if we 'reinstate' a man like this?

My little ant dec rant was off topic(of PS) but intertwined in (my head) in as much as Celebrity status repeatedly disgusts me when they are utterly immoral all the way to criminal.
ie ant drink driving. Guilty fined,banned and yet still bouncing around on tv.

I can't stand him and think any attempt to "rehabilitate" him is wrong. However, I think this has the potential to backfire spectacularly. Joanna Lumley did something similar years ago (I remember her fashioning shoes out of a bra) but she was and remains popular and wasn't in disgrace following a scandal of her own making.

Yes and if he was remorseful and ashamed of a relationship with such a young junior colleague there would be potential for turning it around but the clip we've seen just shows him indignant at the response when it all came out. He just does not get it.

I'd bet he'd have been the first to have advised his daughters to avoid and report 60yr old creepy bosses chasing them.

I did read somewhere today that this show and the things that he will say on it, is about to force his former lover out of the shadows as he wants people to hear his side of the story.

You and me both. I had friends whose social life revolved around the London gay scene in the 90's and it was common knowledge PS was gay. I didn't know he was married until the story, about his predatory behaviour, broke.

And we're supposed to go along with the pretence that his wife had no idea!

I’m sort of tempted to watch it in a watch through your fingers kind of way as I am amazed he thinks this is a good idea and that a company is willing to finance this. Perhaps they are banking on making money out of people that watch it to see how awful it is. I probably won’t watch it though, or maybe just the first 10 minutes.

This sounds like a great idea, only one camera, they'll be fighting over it to get their excuses sob story in first.

They say they're sorry and wheel out the excuses, but the only person they actually feel sorry for is themselves.
And agree minimise what they did, like everyone's overreacting and they're the real victim in the whole scenario

If his wife knew, then I wonder whether she was told before they got married and had kids, or if this was something she found out when she was already committed.
