Schofe is back…

What do we all feel about Phillip Schofield coming back onto our TV screens? He’s posted a status on Instagram to tune in at 9am tomorrow and there are rumours online that he has filmed a show across the pond.

Personally, I think he should come back to do the job he was doing before. Dancing on Ice, This Morning… People compare him to Huw Edwards but they categorically cannot because he hasn’t been convicted of anything….

This is going to create a divide of opinions I know….

Debate!

Meanwhile MM's life has been destroyed.

Not only did he lose his job at This Morning and Loose Women, he then had to leave his job at the pub he worked in afterwards because all the attention from the press scared him off and caused problems for his employer.

This little creep should stay off screen. I don't want to look at his smug face anymore.

user1471538283 · 25/09/2024 07:58

Oh god why can't these self absorbed predatory people just go away? He's just greedy for the attention.

ThatMakesSense · 25/09/2024 07:58

dabbadoo · 25/09/2024 07:26

apparently it's raw and emotional footage of him being a castaway on an island.
(and desperately trying to make us feel sorry for him)

Ugh - rather watch paint dry

He should be permanently banned from our screens for that faux sobbing while clutching Holly on the sofa if nothing else.

But I do also think in the "Me Too" era even if something is legal it does not make it right. The power and age imbalance of him shagging a junior runner, 20 years plus younger than him is not nice. In many work places you'd be sacked for that. And the fact that PS has been photographed with the younger guy while he was a child very much gives the impression of grooming.

user47 · 25/09/2024 08:01

Oh dear.

cookiebee · 25/09/2024 08:02

My biggest issue with him is that I see him and similar guys as cowards. There was a time being gay was a serious problem for society, you would be shunned, locked up or if you go back far enough hung! But even though things could still be difficult even 20 years ago, there is a cut off point for guys hiding it and stringing along an unsuspecting wife for the ride.

Im a gay guy, from a working class background and rough council estate, lots of homophobia in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s still. Me and my partner in the early days of our relationship would have to look up gay friendly hotels or even book twin rooms still, I would have loved a family of my own, but never once did I ever think il take the easy and cowardly way out the way men like Phillip did and waste a women’s life to hide and get all that, I’m not an ‘out and proud in your face type’ as lots seem to hate, just normal and living my life, but have done it all without hiding or wasting someone else’s time and love.

He didn’t do anything wrong, his brothers crimes are not his fault, though he should have reported him personally, I just find the guy a hypocrite and a fibber. You can’t be a journalist, tv presenter etc without being transparent and showing who you are.

Now an update on how Gordon's doing?... good tv!

He's aged well, hasn't he? Wonder if he dyes his fur tho?

Laiste · 25/09/2024 08:08

Oh God.

Him wandering about navel gazing while ''cast away''. A metaphor for how he feels he's been treated obvs.

What a load of self indulgent bollocks.

Don’t care if he wasn’t convicted, he used money and power to groom a young (borderline) adult and for that he should be ashamed not put in the spotlight. With the audacity he had, doubt it was his first grooming experience either.

He should take his millions and hide away but his ego won’t allow though so hopefully this show flunks and he realises that he doesn’t deserve shit.

What he did was an abuse of power and everyone at itv who knew, and quietly condoned it, are tainted by it imo!

Tbh he and HW were vom inducing with all their in jokes and stupid behaviour - it's like they forgot their job was to entertain the audience, not just each other. Much prefer all of the other presenters esp Rochelle, Josie and Allison.

I'd be quite happy to not ever see PS on my tv again - just because his behaviour wasn't illegal, that doesn't make it okay. And I also dislike the hiding behind a woman and pretending to be straight. He could have come out years ago and it would have been fine - that ridiculous interview he did with Holly was just 🤮

You did miss my point, my point was not that he was gay, but that he hid it from people he was meant to love, he was gay and married a straight woman, I find that cowardly, it’s one side of an argument, but you decided to take my point and make it look as if I champion predatory behaviour, which gay guys get linked to a lot by the ignorant. I was making one point out of many, but you twisted it, so yeah, sod off!

lololulu · 25/09/2024 08:42

I can't imagine his glee when the Huw Edwards story broke.

He will constantly compare himself to him and think "oh well at least I didn't do that"

SauviGone · 25/09/2024 08:43

His statement and his desperation to highlight that the relationship was unwise “but not illegal” tells me that had it been legal for him to shag the boy at age 15, he would have.

He needs to crawl back under his rock and stay there.

How do you know that his wife didn't know right from the beginning he was gay and it suited her? His sexuality was rumoured for years, she was in the business and must have known. I'm not an apologist, can't stand him.

ilovemoney · 25/09/2024 08:47

His ego wont let him give up. He lied. He got the young lad a job and was seeing him. He was in a position of power and the age gap was very hazy. he said he hadn't met the young man as a child but then i think i recall a picture of them surfaced when the boy was about 12.
TV presenter, the talent.... starting to be a rather familiar story in this country.

poppyzbrite4 · 25/09/2024 00:58

I don't care. I haven't watched anything with him in since he had Gordon the Gopher.

At least Gordon came out of the cupboard every week

cookiebee · 25/09/2024 08:54

@Freysimo because he himself has said just that, he knew when he married her, she found out later, but it doesn’t matter, sorry, I’ve obviously made a pointless argument against him, I just find this sort of thing similar to reading the sad stories from the wives of trans widows as well.

AngelinaFibres · 25/09/2024 08:55

Presumably ,if you love the sound of your own voice and the sight of your face on TV every day ( oh and the schmoozing and adoration and awards shows you get to go to) it must be agony not to be able to have it. It's your oxygen. I dare say he was told to apologise ( and squeeze out tears a lot) and then go away quietly ( and absolutely not be photographed within 20 feet of any young men) . "Give it time Phil and then we'll find something suitable to get you back on TV. Don't worry, people are stupid and have short memories". His people must have put their heads in their hands when the Huw Edwards stuff came out. Damn, now everyone will be reminded of what a predatory creep you were Phil. Best thing we can all do is to ignore the programme. Let it fade away, along with the 'star' in it.

Soonenough · 25/09/2024 08:59

Why would he want to expose himself to ridicule and abuse ? Maybe he believes he has millions of loyal fans .

I never liked him and Holly . Yucking it up together seeming to say aren't we great fun and too bad you are not us. Plus the crying bravely and pathetic are you OK moments. Get back in your lovely houses and fuck off.

Boomerma1969 · 25/09/2024 09:04

Regardless of all the sex scandal stuff, I find him 🤢. That awful broadcaster's voice/persona is just so cringe and Holly, well don't get me started on the two of them together 🤣

And you believe him? They're hardly going to admit to a lavender marriage which suited them both.
