What's your weirdest habit?

Just starting this thread for a bit of fun—I’ve got this weird habit of chatting to my plants as if they’re listening. Anyone else got any quirky habits?

I cannot bring myself to drink out of any cup or mug which has a dark glaze on the inside. I have to tip the drink into a light coloured cup or mug

I sing daft songs to my cat. It will usually be a well known song,but I change certain words to her name. As in 'My own personal Ebony'.

I creep around like a dinosaur when I'm on the landing.

When stressed, I chew hair-bobbles (The coil type ones, like the old telephone cables). The other day, at the end of the meeting with my boss, I didn''t realize what I was doing until my boss said, "What on earth are you doing?" She thought I had eaten the bobble... (Embarrassing).
Also, can only eat sweet things (like a yoghurt or a dessert) with the smallest, finest edged spoon. A chunky spoon puts me right off.

Oh I’m so with you on this with mugs!! See also cold drinks in anything that’s not clear.

I blow my nose every time I go to the toilet. I don’t know when it started but now I think my nose actually starts to run when I enter a bathroom. I think it came from wanting to multitask after having DC - ‘what else can I do while I’m just sitting here?’ DH pointed this habit out to me and I’m trying to break it 😐

I won't drink water out of a mug or cup. Must be in a glass (or bottle).

I eat my hair.

But surely that’s normal!! People who drink water out of a mug are the weird ones.

I talk to my favourite singer. I thank him if I've just listened to one of my favourite songs of his and apologise to him because I have to turn him off mid song when I arrive at work.

My tv volume can only end in a 0 or a 5

I have to fill the kettle every night before bed. Not that weird really, just a habit

My dh spits in the loo whenever he has a standing up wee, I have no idea why he does this and neither does he! It’s so weird 😂
He assures me he doesn’t do it for sitting down toilet business!!

I sit on the floor more than on sofas or chairs. No idea why but have always done it.

I count stairs. Can tell you how many there are for nearly anywhere I go regularly as I’ve done it so often. Very satisfying to count backwards as I go downstairs and realise I’ve remembered it right!

That's interesting, I'm sure my parents used to do that and I had no idea why. I've never known anyone else to do it.

Tap water tastes better after being stood for a while.
Any chlorine will dissipate and the water will not retain the taste

All volumes on anything must be odd numbers for me

I set multiple alarms at various odd numbered intervals in case I sleep in. I can't remember the last time I missed an alarm and I'm usually awake before 6am anyway.

@JohnTheRevelator I sing to the cats and horses but weirdest are the dogs. Each one has a kind of theme time with made up words.

E so that's fine. Horses I'm not normal near people so that's fine. The dogs. I don't even realise I'm doing it and sign dreadful stuff like - to the tune of Santa baby

They have to even for me, although numbers ending with 5 are okay (except 75 and 95) and 33 and 99 are okay, but 11 and 77 aren’t.

DM bought us a sound bar that doesn’t show the volume level, and five years on it still makes be a bit twitchy if I think about it.

I like bounding up the stairs on "all fours" and internally marvel each time that I sound exactly like a dog going up some stairs. I've never had a dog so I have no idea if that's true or not.

I never finish my dinner. There will always be at least half a mouthful left on the plate. I'm not conscious of it. It drives dh up the wall.
