Trump Harris debate

I couldn’t sleep so figured I’d get out of bed to watch.

Anyone else? I have moved bedding to the sofa. Cat has joined me - coming out in support of the cat ladies.

About to get a cup of tea. I was about to join Pod Save America community so could access their discord but figured I’d try here first.

It's his only excuse left. Every sane, intelligent American knows he's a racist and most of the insane, stupid ones do too, it's just that they like it.

My State is very Blue but we are surrounded by Swing and Red states. Hoping this helps, every half percentage point counts.

Some do. There are fragments of truth in it.

But the friends we know who have voted for Trump in the past are thinking they won't vote at all. Works for me!

The not voting at all is as bad as voting for him.

We had that here, so many thinking that not voting was going to show the government what they think 🤦‍♀️

I'm watching the post mortem but I'm still trying to work out what he said in his closing statement.

The correspondents have it right though, she rattled him, she goaded him and he played right in to her plans.

Orban is wannabe dictator of a country of fewer than 10million people and a similar size economy to Mississippi.

What an endorsement!

Plus I doubt more than a few thousand Americans know who Orban is anyway.

I love what she said in her closing about starting her career about a prosecutor, then DA's office, then governor, then VP - that she has only had one client: the American people. And when she is speaking with a victim/ witness - she never asks are you a republican/democrat - her primary concern and question is "are you okay".

I don't know why that resonated so strongly with me. If I could vote for her I would. Sadly just a Brit watching on the sidelines hoping the majority of Americans do the right thing.

The right wing, red-pilled, Fox News /Tucker Carlson portion of the population thinks Orban is a role model. Sadly, I'm not joking.

He is off his head.

Thing is, so many leaders are. Hitler, Saddam Hussain, Robert Mugabe, Putin, and that’s just off the top of my head. And he is no different really apart from the fact people already know what they’re voting for.

In the case of Hitler, Mugabe etc, things started on a positive or the promise of a positive, and then power and hate and corruption took over.

Whereas Trump has been in power before, is a convicted criminal, and is incapable of coherent discussion. So why are people voting for him?
