Last was Paul oakenfold if that counts, dream would be REM and best nick cave.

HappyHappyy · 06/09/2024 22:35

Last one was Springsteen at Wembley in July. Best one was Bicep at Brockwell Park few years ago, or Pet Shop Boys in Leeds. Dream one is Sam Fender, because I still haven't managed to see him yet x

Tacocatgoatcheesepizza · 06/09/2024 22:36

Cliche but Taylor Swift. I managed to go twice and it was just an epic experience. And my dream concert would be to go again 😬

shellyleppard · 06/09/2024 22:37

Last concert was elbow ❤️❤️ dream concert would be the Beatles, best concert.... status quo in 1986!!!! ❤️❤️ Still a fan now (55 years) 😄😄 but the elbow concert was pure magic

RealHousewivesOfTaunton · 06/09/2024 22:37

Last one was Avril Lavigne.
Best one was Busted, supported by Hanson.
Dream one... hmm... if I was only going to please myself then I'd like Pink to headline, with Busted and Sam Ryder supporting and a surprise set from the Spice Girls.

TheFutureIs · 06/09/2024 22:37

Last proper gig was Green Day at Wembley which may also be a best as I shared it with DD8.
Also memorable was seeing Primal Scream play Screamadelica from the side of the stage (I should not have been there!)

Dream gig is Pet Shop Boys

Pallisers · 06/09/2024 22:38

My best one was Guy Clark in the upstairs event room of a pub in Ireland - nothing like Swift or the like but it was fabulous because he was fabulous.

PhilosophicalCheeseSandwich · 06/09/2024 22:38

Last - Manic Street Preachers
Best - Pulp last year
Dream - Metallica

HappiestSleeping · 06/09/2024 22:39

Last was AC/DC in July.
Best is difficult to say. ABBA, AC/DC, Queen, Motorhead, UFO, Eagles, there are many.
One I would have wanted to see? Beatles, Led Zep.

WhatWouldHopperDo · 06/09/2024 22:40

Last one was The Rose at Wembley arena.

Best ever was Aerosmith also at WA closely followed by Linkin Park at the o2.

Current dream would be BTS.

I was there too! I was looking to see if anyone added this concert. I would love to see Woosung in October in London 🥰.

p.s sorry, I meant to delete the main quote!

Miley1967 · 06/09/2024 22:45

Last one - Pet shop boys in nottingham a few months ago. Seeing them again at Radio 2 in the Park on sunday and can't wait. best concert - probably a Pulp one and would love to see them again.

HawkersSouth · 06/09/2024 22:47

Last - postmodern jukebox
Best - lady gaga, her jazz show
Wish list - bon jovi

OctoblocksAssemble · 06/09/2024 22:49

Last was Muse, about a decade ago (kids put paid to that pastime, for now at least)
Best is so hard to call, but I think Kaiser Chiefs headlining the x-fm winter wonderland about edges it.
Dream would have been David Bowie, absolute legend.

EffinMagicFairy · 06/09/2024 22:54

I prefer small venues or festivals, last one Leftfield, best one - hard to choose, most memorable was Noel Gallagher doing acoustic version of Wonderwall, many years ago in local concert hall. Dream one which never happened - should have gone to see Nirvana at Brixton Academy, still got the tickets.

HowardTJMoon · 06/09/2024 22:58

The most recent should have been seeing Cranes play a few months back. But I got covid and just felt too awful. I was gutted as I hadn't seen them play live for a very long time and I was really looking forward to it.

Instead, the actual most recent was Dinosaur Jr at the Garage. They've definitely still got it.

The best is hard to say. I saw James Brown back in the late 80s and it was just an incredible performance. Seeing The Cure on the Disintegration tour was also utterly fantastic. And Tori Amos at the Albert Hall in the mid 90s. But I think the best is probably seeing Spem in Alium being performed in a cathedral. It was a transcendental experience.

The dream would be to see Dead Can Dance live.

toomuchcardboard · 06/09/2024 23:04

Last one Rammstein - they do an excellent show!
Best one Nine Inch Nails at Brixton Acadamy many years ago, though when I saw them more recently they had Gary Numan with them, which was a big bonus!
Dream one - Cream, or Led Zep.

Effic · 06/09/2024 23:07

Best ….. probably red hot chilli peppers

Most recent …. Eric Bibb at the cheese and grain

wish list ….wish I’d seen Prince

PaillettenBedeckt · 06/09/2024 23:10

The last one I went to was a band called Melt Banana. It was in a little venue and the crowd was going wild. It's a kind of electro punk with a tiny Japanese woman screaming the lyrics. It was really high energy and loads of fun.

I saw one recently that is up there in my best ever was Mogwai. I've never cried so much at a performance. I was in absolute bits. They were the closing act at my favourite festival, so it meant a lot to me anyway. I've got a lot of chronic illnesses and I was struggling to stand up but it was like the music was giving me energy and I managed to stand up for the entire thing.

My dream one would be Kanye West. I know he's not very popular but I love early Kanye. He's so funny and confident. I often sing along in the car and it makes me feel ready to take on the world. I'd love to have seen him a few years ago in his prime. Otherwise I'd have loved to have seen David Bowie.

RebeccaDecember · 06/09/2024 23:12

Last - Blossoms
Best - Radiohead
Wish - would have LOVED to have seen Jeff Buckley 💔

I love Cranes too! I wanted to go but it wasn't in the stars for me either.

FatmanandKnobbin · 06/09/2024 23:16

The last one was Marti Pellow

The best one... that's a really tough one actually, I've been to so many, maybe Loreen actually, her whole performance was mesmerising she was just ethereal and I've never been to a gig like it. And her support was Lucia and The Best Boys who I've since become a huge fan of.

My dream one is happening in December- Slipknot 😍

HiGunny · 06/09/2024 23:17

Last one: Sum 41
Best: The Prodigy back in 1997
Dream: Someone like Fleetwood Mac or Rolling Stones but too late now. Realistically Pulp or Radiohead as I was massive fans of them back in the 90s.

HowardTJMoon · 06/09/2024 23:17

@PaillettenBedeckt I saw Mogwai last year. They closed with Fear Satan (one of my favourites) and then came back on to do an absolutely blistering My Father, My King as the encore. It really was an incredible experience and I'm hoping they'll go on tour again soon.

Iwasjustasking · 06/09/2024 23:18

Last concert was 30 seconds to mars, amazing as always!
Best concert is so hard, take that in the height of their fame, the script, the backstreet boys, the streets, lil Tracy, oasis - all so brilliant!
concert you wish you could go too - Tupac
