‘Shut up’: Liam Gallagher shrugs off criticism of Oasis ticket prices

Especially the last bit, wtf!

’Fans said they queued online for hours only to find that the price of the £135 standing tickets had risen to £355.

On Friday morning, Liam posted on X: “OASIS are back your welcome and I hear there ATTITUDE STINKS good to know something’s never change.”

When fans responded by criticising the ticketing approach, including one X user who said he “didn’t expect [Oasis] to rip off the fans as much as they have done”, Gallagher replied: “SHUTUP”.

And when asked how he was feeling, the 51-year-old responded: “SMUG only kidding SMUG AS F* I told you all we were gonna get back together 1 fine day.”

Liam was also asked how his mother, Peggy, felt about him and Noel reuniting 15 years after the band split. “She’s gutted she couldn’t get a ticket,” he said. When one person questioned why he didn’t give her a free ticket, he said: “Free don’t be silly.”

The whole thing is ridiculous.. They will have fallen out again and all tickets will be refunded...

They were never going to be sympathetic - they are well known arseholes and need to continue playing that part.

Liam also says lots of things that he doesn't necessarily mean, sarcasm is his language and I very much doubt that if Peggy Gallagher wanted tickets Peggy Gallagher wouldn't have got them!

Oh come on. The man's made a career out of winding people up and taking the piss. It gets him far more attention than being nice.

Earlier in the week it was being reported that Liam was upset at the pricing and it was the fault of the management and promoters not him. And it was likely to cause arguments between him and Noel because Noel was fine with it and Liam was the nicest one. Liam has been getting shedloads of abuse about it.

I don't think I'd expect anything but a double down though. If he said differently he'd be open to more abuse for not offering refunds.

Oasis fans have seen this for 30 years…. no one’s ever really took Liam Gallagher seriously come on!

They can’t just cancel stadiums etc without some kind of financial penalty so i very much doubt it’s just all been to sell albums…. i’m not saying they won’t fall out and we are paying for their older age though

The gigs will happen. Too much ££ on the table. Just saying in Liamspeak what Springsteen said more diplomatically when he was criticized about the prices. Artists don't like it when they get found out. The Oasis publicist must have cringed.
