I think what's really sad about the Grenfell report - from the brief reading I've done of the conclusions- is that it says the "Government" has known since 1991 that there were potential problems 
So, Labour, Conservatives and Conservative-LibDem governments 
The creed that seems to have been established is knowing the price of everything and the value of nothing. It's actually how dh and I first got talking (in 1993): a mutual frustration that most competitive tendering doesn't actually look at the value of what was being offered. 
And certainly not the value of people's lives 
Labour had a chance to change that culture in the 13 years that they were in power, but didn't
