I missed out and I’m seriously considering just buying tickets on a resale site. Anyone else considering this? Can they really cancel the tickets?

You can buy on twickets. Thats a safe resale site. Yes dont buy from stub hub viagogo etc. They won't be honoured. They made a statement yesterday

justasoul · 02/09/2024 10:10

They can definitely cancel tickets, Ed Sheeran seems to do it a lot.

dontforgetme · 02/09/2024 10:10

I think (hope) that they are going to release more dates. Hold fire op! And as pp said, only buy from twickets.

Will anyone sell on Twickets? They said sales would be today but I’ve not seen any as of yet

Just hold your nerve on Twickets, set up alerts and be quick. They will come up, especially nearer the time as peoples plans change

justasoul · 02/09/2024 10:13

I've bought (and sold) a fair few tickets on Twickets, they will appear randomly when people can't go for whatever reason, or manage to get better tickets/tickets for a better venue for them.

Sweetlove23 · 02/09/2024 10:16

I’ve set all my alerts up. I’m just hoping I get some. Got nearly a year so hopefully there will be something.

My friend bought some on twickets yesterday. There will be moŕe closer to the date when people cant go and the touts that bought them cant sell at a profit

Sweetlove23 · 02/09/2024 10:17

I never got an alert for any tickets. She’s lucky

Might not be the same venue.
have you checked the alerts? Got all the dates on alert? Haven’t ticked a box for seats or standing etc.
double check that and then wait. They will come up.

Sweetlove23 · 02/09/2024 10:28

@ALovelyCupOfNameChange i have an alert on every date, any ticket type. Got an alert on the artist as well.

ALovelyCupOfNameChange · 02/09/2024 10:57

last check then, double check your phone settings for notifications for Twickets.

i believe Twickets crashed yesterday when some went up so that might be why.
it is a really good website, I’ve got some tickets for shows that are equally as demand as oasis. Some I’ve got when they’ve pinged in the early hours.

its just too early for peoples plans to have changed.

Sweetlove23 · 02/09/2024 10:59

@ALovelyCupOfNameChange All notifications are on. I will just have to keep an eye and hope I can get some.

OP posts:
ALovelyCupOfNameChange · 02/09/2024 11:09

You will I’m sure of it. Lots of people have plans change, lots of people will regret buying them once the hype settles and need the money back.

Sweetlove23 · 02/09/2024 11:13

Keeping all my fingers crossed

OP posts:
MidnightPatrol · 02/09/2024 11:17

What’s the difference with Twickets - you can only sell tickets at face value?

Or less. they arent part of the satanic cult of live Nation/Ticketmaster/StubHub (same company) and Viagogo

Dolliesdisasterousdayout · 02/09/2024 15:02

2 in Edinburgh at the moment

Sweetlove23 · 02/09/2024 15:37

@Dolliesdisasterousdayout i don’t think my alerts are working as I’ve not had any notifications about it

OP posts:
Sweetlove23 · 02/09/2024 15:39

The venue in Dublin have given people codes to get tickets

OP posts:
beguilingeyes · 02/09/2024 16:03

There were no alerts at all for Taylor Swift, so Oasis ones might not work either.

Sweetlove23 · 02/09/2024 16:23

Great so it’s just a case of checking constantly

OP posts:
Dolliesdisasterousdayout · 02/09/2024 16:49

I’m looking for one dc (the other two got some). I didn’t get an alert for their chosen venue either but keep checking.
I think that the app is glitching lots which is annoying but hopefully nearer the time some will become available.

Sweetlove23 · 02/09/2024 16:50

@Dolliesdisasterousdayout how often are you checking

OP posts:
loverrr · 02/09/2024 17:03

@Sweetlove23 Im desperate for tickets too! I haven't had any alerts on twickets at all. Not sure whether to hold nerve or buy off stubhub- my understanding is that only tickets with specific seats can be cancelled, so a generic standing ticket couldnt be cancelled. Do you know?
