I missed out and I’m seriously considering just buying tickets on a resale site. Anyone else considering this? Can they really cancel the tickets?

There were some standing ones for Edinburgh on twickets earlier …..face value plus a twicket fee

Sweetlove23 · 02/09/2024 17:15

@loverrr i also heard general admission tickets from those sites are harder to cancel but apparently sometimes they resell the same barcode to multiple people so the first person with the barcode will get through and the others will be denied.

@Kitkat1523 was this in the app or on the web?

Twickets were bloody cashing in yesterday and earlier today with £138 booking fees.

I've just read they've scrapped that high amount. There is a charge but less now.

They're meant to bloody ethical.

Yep there's 2 for Cardiff as posted above.

Sweetlove23 · 02/09/2024 18:31

Also one for Wembley

Just hold your nerve and nearer the time of the date/s that you want more will become available.

WomensRightsRenegade · 02/09/2024 18:55

No human sver managed to get a Taylor Swift ticket in Twickets - they were all snapped up instantly by bots.

I doubt there’s quite the same demand for Oasis - and if other resale sites aren’t being allowed, then maybe there’s more chance with these

Sweetlove23 · 02/09/2024 18:57

And I’m guessing they then resell on unofficial resale sites

You will I’m sure of it. Lots of people have plans change, lots of people will regret buying them once the hype settles and need the money back.

Definitely!

Cornishcoast1 · 02/09/2024 19:13

There are loads on StubHub! I’ve just looked at the Manchester dates and there are hundreds. At least with the seated tickets they have a chance of being cancelled. It’s so annoying seeing how many of the tickets got bought purely for re sale. Ed Sheeran managed to cancel re sale tickets, not sure exactly how, let’s hope oasis stick to their word and cancel these resale tickets.

Sweetlove23 · 02/09/2024 19:18

@Cornishcoast1 i think they can cancel seated tickets easily but general admission not so easily. Not sure why seated are easier to cancel.

OP posts:
legosnowqueen · 02/09/2024 19:20

@Cornishcoast1 Ed Sheeran tickets had the buyer's name on & id was required.

Sweetlove23 · 02/09/2024 19:23

@Cornishcoast1 i guess they could do it that way. But I think they said that about Taylor swift and that never happened. People got in with tickets bought from Viagogo. It’s annoying as it doesn’t give people a fair chance. But if I can’t get one I may risk it for a biscuit tbh! Will wait until nearer time.

I know of a couple of people who got tickets on Twickets for TS.
Granted, there wasn't many, and for good reason!

hby9628 · 02/09/2024 20:57

I've got tickets & on my Ticketmaster act it isn't letting you put them up for resale yet so I'm not sure how people are doing this. Unless the option on Ticketmaster is only to resell though their site 🤷‍♀️

hby9628 · 02/09/2024 20:58

As an aside....I'm not looking to sell. Just curious as to how it works

Thursdaygirl · 02/09/2024 21:01

Maddy70 · 02/09/2024 10:06

You can buy on twickets. Thats a safe resale site. Yes dont buy from stub hub viagogo etc. They won't be honoured. They made a statement yesterday

So if you’re a genuine seller, and chose to sell your tickets on Viagogo, they won’t be honoured? Just before COVID, I sold some Human League tickets on Viagogo, and it all worked out fine?

Sweetlove23 · 02/09/2024 21:02

Yea Ticketmaster said they were allowing resale tickets from today but I’ve not seen any only on Twickets. Unless Twickets includes sakes from the other sights like see tickets and gigs & tours

Weird but there is a ticket for Cardiff that keeps coming up same seat. It says it’s no longer available then reappears a bit later. Any idea why? It

Interesting article about Dynamic Pricing here. The artists can opt in or out. TS and Ed Sheeran didn't do it. Crowded House did it by mistake and made them refund everyone.
The shocker is Bruce (blue collar man) Springsteen who really kick started the whole thing over here and is firmly in favour. Arse.

Sweetlove23 · 03/09/2024 07:56

This is the thing that annoys me, they go on about reselling on viagogo for example yet someone sent me a screenshot of tickets on TM for over £2k, they’d bought the same area seats for £79! So how is this any better?

@Cornishcoast1 Ed Sheeran tickets had the buyer's name on & id was required.

same thing when Adele toured in 2016…… and you needed to carry the same bank card you paid for the tickets on
