I'm just waiting for the kettle to boil to make myself a coffee - I've been up ages thanks to the dickheads kittens climbing various things & being rowdy in my bedroom 🙄

Dd1 asked me to wake her when I got up so she could get some more college work done but I think she's gone back to sleep 🤷‍♀️ I'll nip and check in a minute.

We don't really have much planned for today. It's the last weekend we're all off so I suggested we go out for dinner/tea. Dd1 was the only one who answered & suggested somewhere. Dd2 requested a stop off to buy pens so I'm guessing she wants to go out too.

In the meantime, I started clearing out under the bed yesterday, so I'll finish that, upload a couple of things on Vinted, and request my prescription.

I’m taking my two cats to the vets for a claw trim and health check, then hopefully off to buy a new car!

Having a play around the house currently with Peter rabbit in the background drinking coffee my daughter has woken up still tired this morning.
Later on coffee with friends and think we might pop into town.

Hi @lucysmam I love that you do these threads, I've never commented before but I always read them! Today I've had a lie in until 8am as it was my partner's night with our 9 month old, so right now we're all sat on the big bed with our puppy as well where we all normally are on Saturday mornings! We're going for a bit of tennis at lunchtime and then we'll be organising and packing for a (hopefully) lovely week in Kent next week! Hope everyone has a lovely day 😊

I'm feeling rubbish with a sinus infection so I'm still in bed. DH and DD are about to go climbing. Later on I think we'll go for a walk at our local national trust garden. I'm thinking of doing macaroni cheese for dinner.

Oh went to work for a couple of hours at 6am. He text to say it's a lovely day at 8am as I woke up. He's 57 tomorrow. He also won a bet on Wednesday for 2390 on the Footy which was an absolute fluke! So we are taking the kids and their partners for an Italians tonight. 10 of us. Meeting his sons girlfriend for the first time too!

I feel the same haha. The enthusiasm for making plans and doing summer stuff has seriously waned. Still in my pjs and kids are playing with lego. Out for dinner tonight with DH for the first time for months, so that will be lovely.

Morning everyone, I have man flu so I might not make it through the day.

I’m off to the park with the littlest in a little bit, my husband has some exams soon so he is going to do some work with that, our son is playing at the neighbours house.

I think it’s going to be a bit of a lazy day really, we were really organised this week so theres nothing to do in the house. So probably a lazy combo of lego, other toys and TV.

Little bit hungover here 🤨 Went out last night to the pub, got Oasis tickets so celebrated with more wine!! DD is going to watch DS2 play cricket, me and DH planning to get the train out to the beach and have some tea out

Other than that its sunny here and i have the machine on.

Hello lucysmam and the weekend crowd.

We're just off for swimming lessons and then we'll grab some supplies and pop into the library. It's our Saturday morning ritual.

Then we're home for a day of total R&R. DC2 and DC3 were away for the week with grandparents, I was back to work and DC1 started secondary school on Thursday. We're all in need of a lazy afternoon.

Although I've somehow acquired a tie-dye kit (thanks granny!!) so their all sorting through their draws for "old" white stuff we can die later on.

Shopping isn't due until tomorrow so I'll do something easy for dinner. Meatballs, homemade sauce with spaghetti and garlic bread.

Film later. To be agreed. And we can never agree!!

I'm currently pointlessly in the queue for Oasis tickets. I'm sure I wont get any. I will make a cuppa shortly and then I will go off to see my 94 year old Dad in his care home. He is quite miserable (woiuldn't be happy anywhere) but I will try and cheer him and distract him. After that I'm going for a swim with a friend at the Ladies pond on Hampstead heath. This evening I'm planning to go to a party I think. Its right on the other side of London though so will take me a long time to get there so there's always a chance I won't bother....

It's quite autumnal here. A spitter spatter of rain and quite windy. I really don't mind that, though.
Today will be returning a John Lewis top to Waitrose, then off to coffee at a seafront pub. I need to get into the loft and have a clear out, but not sure I will get that far! I have a man coming to give me a roof cleaning quote!

Waiting for breakfast to cook.
Returning a parcel.
Buying meat for the month.
Hoovering & mopping all the floors.
Watching Netflix.

Thursday here! I mean, what's the point 😂

It's sunny here for a change so I'm going to sunbathe in my garden 😁

DS has football this morning. I will take him. It's a beautiful sunny day and I enjoy a natter with the other parents.

After that we are driving to our nearest city to buy some last minute PE kit and a trip to the bank. Afterwards we are going to watch despicable me 4 in 4d. Quite excited for that.

We're going on holiday next Saturday, then DD is moving the uni the week after. So today is our last shopping trip for both adventures. I need underwear, a few tops and a dress. DD has a whole list of random things. We'll have a nice lunch out so then a quick tea in front of the tv later.

Having fruit and yoghurt breakfast.

Already been out to get MIL a bunch of flowers as it's 5 years since she's been in remission from breast cancer.

After breakfast, I'm going to take the hell hound for a walk.

DD16 at work, DS17 still in bed, DH at golf.

This afternoon I'll be cleaning and tidying the house in preparation for MIL's arrival!

I go back before the girls this year 🙄 dd2 is back on Thursday, dd1 not until the 9th 🤯. Thankfully they don't need much in the way of entertainment these days!

Today? Hospital appointment this afternoon but am lucky I can walk there in ten minutes 🙂 then not sure. Probably a browse in town and buy something I can do without. 🙄

DP is away on his stag do so house to myself. I've been for a swim. Meeting up with friends later for a bit of a walk, then tomorrow taking my nephews out for the day. It's sunny for once which is nice. We'll see how long that lasts!

Bugger all to be honest. We've spent the last three weeks travelling (on and off) and it feels like today is the first day we haven't been working/washing/packing etc. I'm bloody knackered!

So we're going to go to M&S and buy something nice for tea, then put our feet up!

I always read these threads too and have never posted. Fascinating hearing all the mundane but lovely normal things people are doing where they live.

Slightly hungover here too after the pub with friends, didn't need that last glass of rose.

DH has just brought me coffee and did his usual mock marvelling statement about how we can all sleep so much (me and 2 late Teen DSs all still in bed) but he's just jealous as he's basically an insomniac.

DS2 announced yesterday he would like us to go into town today for mooching and book buying "we won't be able to when I'm at Uni mum" 🙁 so we're off to do that today. Dogs need walking at some point. Quiet night tonight as want to do a big training run tomorrow morning.
