I'm just waiting for the kettle to boil to make myself a coffee - I've been up ages thanks to the dickheads kittens climbing various things & being rowdy in my bedroom 🙄

Dd1 asked me to wake her when I got up so she could get some more college work done but I think she's gone back to sleep 🤷‍♀️ I'll nip and check in a minute.

We don't really have much planned for today. It's the last weekend we're all off so I suggested we go out for dinner/tea. Dd1 was the only one who answered & suggested somewhere. Dd2 requested a stop off to buy pens so I'm guessing she wants to go out too.

In the meantime, I started clearing out under the bed yesterday, so I'll finish that, upload a couple of things on Vinted, and request my prescription.

I too am in the queue for Oasis tickets. I'm watching Masterchef Oz, drinking tea and eating toast. I am going to Lord's with DD at 10.30am, meeting two friends there for lots of 🍺 🍻 🏏 I just hope the Sri Lankans can last long enough to make it worth our while and the weather holds out 🤞

Morning everyone.

Im lying in bed on my phone. Been a long hard week and was out for a little bit last night. Also woke up with a very sore throat. Hope comes to nothing.

Today DS needs a haircut. Then DH and kids out at football. We have friends over tonight. Quiet day tomorrow which is needed for relaxing and catch up with the ironing.

Gorgeous sunny day here so have washed our bedding and got it out on the line.
DH and DS set off with the bikes to cycle round a loch a couple of hours drive from here.
I'm playing tennis then will go down to watch a local music event.
I'll probably potter around the garden later on this afternoon.

@aintnospringchicken you've reminded me there's a free local music thing in town on Friday! Must send the girls a link to the artist I think they'll like and see if they fancy going!

Good morning *@lucysmam and others. I have had two coffees and a slice of toast, stripped the bed and got the sheets etc in the washing machine. I've had a quick trip to Aldi for the stuff I forgot to order from Tesco and I'm sitting having a cuppa and another piece of toast. The weather here is lovely so most of the washing will go out on the line. I'll do some gardening and housework, although most of it was done over the last few days. Have a good day all.

@Simonjt Most likely a Mini Countryman. I have a Cooper at the moment but want 5 doors rather than 3, and quite like the fact they’re slightly bigger in comparison.

I'm Lying on a sun bed in Ibiza, a much needed break.
My daughter is at home in a queue trying to get Oasis tickets for me x

Just doing a quick tidy up of the house then will probably have a cuppa with an episode of greys anatomy. Also trying to convince the the kids actually get dressed and will be risking waking the teen before I go in for my late shift. I think DH is planning on taking the kids out this afternoon for a last holidays treat when he gets back from his park run.

A lie-in this morning as have been back to work for a couple of days this week after having 3 weeks off so it’s been a shock to the system. Currently watching an old version of Jane Eyre with tea and toast.

Will venture into town this afternoon with DD to pick up my new glasses and then we’ll stop off for a coffee and cake and get any last minute stationery bits for DD’s return to school on Thursday.

Will probably watch a film with DD this evening and get in something comfort food related for tea!

I've had a cup of tea and a slice of bread with Bovril, fed cats let dogs out.
My MIL passed away (at 91) last month and today is her memorial (funeral was immediate family only without a service). So all her living descendants are going to be there, which will be quite a reunion with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
But right now I've got to get my kids (grown) up so my son walks the dogs and we get ready. No black is the dress code which is a struggle for me as I wear it every day.
Afterwards I'm making lasagna by request (my son is just visiting) and if we can agree on a movie we'll watch that tonight. Have a good weekend!

OH starting to begin finishing house renovation so we can sell up and find our forever home away from our d**khead neighbours💕

Cleaning the windows and hanging new nets followed by writing a leisurely letter to my penpal on fabulous new Van Gogh inspired stationery. My life is so exciting.

We have my husbands auntie down from London this weekend she's just arrived, going to take our children on a nice long walk along the shore line, probably park and ice cream! We were up early and tag teamed the house work! I also must wash my hair tonight, it's been almost a week I'm totally gross I know! Have a great day all xx

Had a rough few days and work and am struggling to bounce back this morning.
Just back from volunteering at Parkrun. Breakfast, a few loads of washing and need to collect/drop off a couple of parcels.
Today is my brothers birthday so we are going out to dinner tonight.

Nice start to the day here, all 3 DD had friends staying last night, 4 of which camped in the garden. Very surreal having so many girls in the house and it being so quiet over night and then noisy this morning when they were all up on phones and laptops poised for oasis tickets.

DH made me a cup of tea in bed and then we took one for the team and went and brought the horses in and gave them their breakfast. (Girls definitely owe us)

On our way back now to provide brunch (bacon and avocado on toast) and then off for a bit of shopping for DD17’s bedroom which is getting decorated.

Hoping to enjoy a glass of wine in the garden later on if we are in early enough, definitely starting to get cooler earlier here, and then steak for dinner and DD’s have a movie night planned.

We were all up at 5 o'clock this morning as DH was taking DD to the airport. She's off to Thailand for 2 weeks. DH is now at the allotment, I've been for a walk, done some washing, cleaned upstairs, washed the dishes. It's been a very long morning.😄 We'll have chippy for tea and a bottle of red tonight!

@cakebytheoceon dd1 quite often goes a week without washing her hair, usually when she's working the weekend. She says it's easier to put up that way 🤷‍♀️

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone, I’m just having a cold drink after spending an hour gardening, clearing up after the visit from the man who sorts out our bay tree. It’s looking good!
I walked the dog earlier, met up with our lovely neighbours and it was all very peaceful with no one else around.
I came back and sorted out the kitchen- we caught a mouse in the cutlery drawer so everything had to be cleaned and washed- the kitchen was a real mess for several days 🤬 and I hate mess and muddle.
So, not much going on for the rest of the day. Steak and chips for dinner, then a quiet afternoon.
perhaps I will start knitting another pair of socks? Or sit and read?

Sunbathing done for now. My sunbathing spot is secluded from sight so quite private, for which I am grateful, but not from sounds of the mallet on the shed that a neighbour is building or the whirring of the lawn mowers and strimmers. It's time to get a quick lunch then go to watch one of my sons playing rugby.

Major deep clean of the house today, huge pile of clean laundry to put away.

Also need to put all the name labels on my sons school uniform, only 2 days left until they go back to school and I'm not even close to being ready.

DP and DS5 have gone out to buy a new kettle, I'm trying to get DD3 to help with cleaning but she's more interested in increasing the amount of mess.

I have a massive stash of sock yarn because I’m easily persuaded I need yet another skein of beautiful yarn 🧶🙄😄

It's a beautiful day, and our 22nd wedding anniversary. We are out to a local 1* mitchelin restaurant tonight, which is a huge treat.
I've been out to my Saturday dance class, and DH has gone to collect his bike from a service. All very romantic 🤣🤣
Just pootling about today, will watch F1 qualifying, but no other plans until this evening.
