Yes I drink at least 2 litres a day

HansHolbein · 25/08/2024 19:51

Yes! I always have small bottles in to drink. I like it at room temperature.

Why does it taste different to still?

The process of adding the bubbles, carbonation, creates very small quantities of carbonic acid, which adds the tang. I like the idea particularly on a sunny day but the reality is always disappointing - indeed I'm not a fan of fizzy drinks in general. So a no from me.

Oganesson118 · 25/08/2024 19:52

I love it! Still remember my first proper job post uni was in events management, sometimes I’d be surviving on 4hrs sleep a night, sparkling water and free biscuits from whatever hotel we were in!

IBlameTheDog · 25/08/2024 19:52

Horrible. Not thirst quenching either.

HowardTJMoon · 25/08/2024 19:52

Yes please. Badoit for preference although it's become difficult to find in the UK.

lightsandtunnels · 25/08/2024 19:52

Yes! Love a lime & soda. I always have loads in the fridge.

MoonAndStarsAndSky · 25/08/2024 19:53

Yes

CoastalCalm · 25/08/2024 19:53

Love it , use my aarke daily

MrsMumster · 25/08/2024 19:54

@Doggymummar oh my don't you feel like your about to take off like a hot air balloon? That'll get the water sparky @Garlicfest. That goes for fizzy drinks in general. Better fizzy water than coke I suppose.

Hate plain sparkling water but I do love the flavoured fizzy water.

SlivedAvocado · 25/08/2024 19:55

Love San Pellegrino

SaintHonoria · 25/08/2024 19:56

Hate the taste but brilliant for washing a dogs face and neck with after they have rolled in fox poo! Just add a drop of Fairy washing up liquid and the fizziness lifts the dirt from the hair! Magic stuff!!

CheerfulBunny · 25/08/2024 19:56

Yes, especially Perrier. When you go to France they have exotic and interesting flavours, such as raspberry which is lush. You can sometimes get the lemon one here but it's rare these days. I think I saw somewhere that it's bad for your teeth??? Anyway I have it as a bit of a treat, not every day.

LateMumma · 25/08/2024 19:57

Yes

MrsMumster · 25/08/2024 19:57

@UnaOfStormhold thank you!! I've wondered this all my life!
<but not so much to Google it>

Explains why, when I accidentally bought sparkling last week, left it for a bit to let it go flat, it did have that salty feel that others have mentioned.

My go-to recipe when I next get baby poo in my own hair

Who waters their wine down?

Me! Love a spritzer, plus I'm a lightweight so it means I can have a few more glasses without getting legless 🤣

GeneralUser · 25/08/2024 20:01

Nope, hate it. But then I don't like any drink with bubbles.
