What is your coffee shop order?

Just wondering what you order when you go to the coffee shop? The easiest one for me is Starbucks where I'm located and there is a drive through ... I know local is probably better etc but unfortunately it just doesn't work for me

Currently I'm a white mocha with caramel syrup no whip cream and two extra shots of blonde coffee on the rare occasion I might have a cake with it I currently love the white chocolate caramel blondie.

My husband is just a americano with room for hot milk man.

No reason to this post other than I'm nosy and maybe it'll give me some ideas!

Skinny Java Chip Frappuccino with whipped cream, from Starbucks. Yum

Very boring here. No chain coffee shops near where I live so no opportunity for fancy stuff like yours. I order an Americano with milk and a cheese scone (pronounced to rhyme with gone)

Turophilic · 19/08/2024 15:23

Flat white.

Kinsters · 19/08/2024 15:24

We go to a local place and I always order a single decaf with milk plus a slice of cake. I think the coffee is a flat white? They make it very easy and offer single/double, black/white and regular/decaf as their options. You can request something special (I think my dad ordered a cappuccino) but I never do.

SisterAgatha · 19/08/2024 15:24

Not a Starbucks as the coffee is dishwasher.
Not a costa for the same reason.

a skinny flat white from an independent and I realise that makes me sound like a wanker but I’m not here for the bells and whistles, I want a good coffee, done right.

Madickenxx · 19/08/2024 15:25

I'm with your husband! Very occasionally I'll have a flat white but mostly an americano with hot milk.

I've never done a coffee drive-through and don't really get it to be honest. I only drink coffee when I can sit down and enjoy it and will get up extra early to be able to sit and have a coffee in peace before I start work (whether at home or office). DH on the other hand loves to have a coffee / tea in hand while he goes about his day.

MolkosTeenageAngst · 19/08/2024 15:27

Cappuccino, as it comes. Occasionally I might have something else off the menu but again just as it comes as standard, I find all the extra potential decisions overwhelming and confusing so wouldn’t add extra shots or syrups or change the milk/ cream etc. Mostly I find the menus in coffee shops too confusing to order something different from though, especially when they’re the TV screens that change every 10 seconds as I’ve never had time to actually scan the menu before the screen changes which is why I just go for a cappuccino most times wherever I am as I know it will be an option without needing to use the menu.

GoTigers · 19/08/2024 15:27

Oat milk Americano from the local independent coffee shop. No cake or other type of food. Take out only.

StormingNorman · 19/08/2024 15:28

Flat white in a coffee shop, or a dirty chai if they have it.

Skinny vanilla latte from the Costa drive thru.

PetrichorSoul · 19/08/2024 15:28

So much sugar!!! Yes I’m judging.

Decaf americano with pouring cream from Starbucks or any independent.

Tarkan · 19/08/2024 15:28

Decaf flat white for me

MoonAndSaturn · 19/08/2024 15:29

Very boring but always a flat white here.

My favourite is from a coffee shop in our home town. Caffe Nero is the best of the big chains though in my opinion.

Ihavenotaskedyou · 19/08/2024 15:31

All independent local and it would be a tea with skimmed milk and toasted tea cake.
If we venture further afield to a Costa I love their seeded bread so toast and jam would be my choice.
Dc always joke that I could have any cake but go for toast, but I find the cakes often too sweet.

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 19/08/2024 15:32

Earl Grey tea or a decaf americano in an independent café. I can't be doing with drinks that are more like a dessert than a drink Grin Not out of virtue, I hasten to add! I'd just rather eat my calories than drink them, and I don't like sweet drinks! So I'll have a squidgy lemon curd shortbread slice with my cuppa please.

BitOutOfPractice · 19/08/2024 15:36

Ideally, tea with skimmed milk. Or a flat white. The amount of calories in these fancy coffees is horrific and puts me off!

I’m very similar to you, only I have a cheese scone which rhymes with bone

moleeye · 19/08/2024 15:39

Double cortado with almond milk

Or black Amo

invisiblecat · 19/08/2024 15:39

Never been keen on the taste of Starbucks coffee so don't go there, but in other places I have a (very boring) Americano with semi-skimmed milk. I like coffee to be coffee.

veritasverity · 19/08/2024 15:40

Flat white when I lived in overseas, but I don't understand why the Brits only have one (small) size of flat white. So instead I go for cappuccino with cinnamon sprinkles, not chocolate; chocolate sprinkles are an abomination!

Onesailwait · 19/08/2024 15:42

Medium double double.

Muffin101 · 19/08/2024 15:43

I’m reasonably boring, a caramel latte, decaf at the moment as I’m pregnant. I don’t ever go to Starbucks or the like but there’s a gorgeous little converted horse box which parks just down the road from me in a bit of a scenic spot that I can’t resist stopping at every time I come back from town. The lovely lady who runs it has nigh-on a cult following at this stage, partly because of her great coffee but also she does the most divine cakes and bakes!

Sherrystrull · 19/08/2024 15:43

English breakfast tea.

strawberrybarley · 19/08/2024 15:44

Chai Latte, Skimmed Milk & cinnamon on top! Fancy one now 😋
