It doesn’t show that Rwanda is not a safe country as to conflict risk.
As I said above, the senior courts ruled against the government on the safety of decisions to be made about asylum seekers - ‘refoulement’. The original High Court judgment (in favour of the policy’s lawfulness) held that Rwanda was a socially and civically safe country. That part of the High Court decision was never overturned.
Since France accepts 27% of asylum applications and we accept 72% you might as well argue that France is an unsafe country for asylum decisions.
In any case, and again as I’ve said, I don’t support the Rwanda scheme. My point was that the Mirror is pushing Labour propaganda. That’s common across all newspapers on behalf of any particular party. I just point out that this isn’t a newsworthy or worthwhile story.
