Hello all my lovely wishy washy dogooders and the nice people who politely argue with us!
Nit paying cat tax - will do asap - been absent due to very busy week with work/kids culminating in a frantic GCSE results day but, if interested, check out
Corridors of power: Should America Police The World? on BBC I-Player - it is BRILLIANT - it's so good (it's about genocide post WW2) - watching it (one episode a night) with DD1 who is a Politics and IR student at Manchester (about to go into 3rd year) and it's a real education - she no longer, for example, feels Blair was a total twat war monger having watched the episode on Iran and Chemical Ali - it's a pretty damning series and very well researched but it also shed light on the history. (I do think it's okay to feel angry at the illegal war btw but it does give it a lot more context when you think back to the first Iran war).
Highly recommended watch - just finished Ep 3 - Rwanda - it's awful - fucking Clinton - some amazing women in that episode - working in the embassy - it's painful to watch but really informative.
